New Here. Fiio E7 or Hifiman HM 101?

Hi,

I need a bit of advice as I am a complete novice when it comes to AMPs/DACs and full size headphones.First of all I have a set of Beats Mixr Neon heaphones, and before you begin with the Beats bashing, I will say that it was a gift, and I would never dosh out so much of my hard earned cash on heaphones (I prefer using my cash on car parts :) )

Lets continue now. So I have the Mixr's and I will say they sound pretty good connected to my SG Note(comparing to the standard earphones, or the £20 Skullcandy Headphones I own). But connected to my laptop they sound very flat, and from research, that is down to integrated audio.

So now that I have the Beats I want to be able to use them to their full potential (no anti-fanboy puns or remarks please) when connected to my laptop, and also to my Note(if there is more sound quality to be had).

Again through research I have come across the Fiio E7 which looks like an awesome bit of kit and possibly the hifiman hm101.

So I have a number a questions which hopefully someone who knows their stuff can help me with:

1. SG Note 1 + Beats Mixr. Will I see any reasonable improvement if I ad an Amp/DAC to the equation?(I am aware that there will be a massive improvement when connected to my laptop)

2. I've read that Android 3.0+ can handle USB connected DACs, Is that true? If I get the E7 or HM101, will I be able to connect it to my Note through USB as a DAC?(BTW my note is 4.1.3 IIRC)

3. Fiio E7 or HM101 ?

I listen to Hip-Hop, Chillstep and Vocal Trance, if it helps.

Thanks in advance
