Cleaning headphones with pledge?

I always clean my Sony MDR-V6 headphones with plain water and a paper towel, but I thought that pledge would be a good idea to clean them with. My headphones smell like....well...my head since they have been in constant use for almost a year. Would pledge damage the leather/pleather pads/headband on them?

Heya,

Pledge is probably fine. It doesn't strip varnish on way more expensive varnish and wood, so it's probably ok for plastic and pleather without worry. Just spray on the rag first, then apply.

Very best,

I use soft paper towels lightly dampened with Windex to clean my headphones and electronics items.
