I'm new to the forums but not new to reasonable audio gear. I've joined the forum partly to say thanks to the folks on here for the reviews of the Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones.
I have a pair of Goldring DR150's which are unfortunately dying, the headband has been glued twice and is currently held together with self amalgamating rubber tape. I've been looking for a replacement that I could use with the computer as I do with the Goldrings (Through an Asus Xonar DS sound card) and could use for portable as well (although I have a pair of Sennheiser HD 448's as well).
Got the Panasonics this morning, did the 2 hole tape mod after a quick listen and I have to say I'm impressed. Better mids than the Sennheisers and very tight bass already.
Best thing is even in the lovely 24 degree weather we've got here at the moment they aren't too sweaty (might be different when I try some gaming though, small room plus decent graphics card makes for a warm environment). The Sennheisers are terrible when the temps rise.
Sat here listening to Muse - Supermassive Black Hole at the moment and they're sounding sweet.
