Its a nice amp. Adds more control and detail or maybe its not detail but a nice separation of instruments, giving nice space between and add a nice punch, weight to everything on the sound stage while being musical. Though the DA8 amp by itself is very smooth and musical, the pieces of the music blend into each other more, though still excellent. ;)

The DA8 makes you feel like you are in a cavernous space with the music, the Questyle you feel ground level, more solid.

The Questyle is smaller than I thought it would be but built really well. Im more of a speaker kind of guy but I am really liking what I hear. Def check it out!

We should start the registry of amps used with Yulong DA8. Me first.

Headamp GS-1 (Dynalo+ modules, same as in new GSX-2), perfect form/factor match as well.

Me like very much! my WA22 can't sit on top though cuz it might crush the DA8.  You are really tempting me.  ;)

Here is my new DA8 (Received Yesterday)

Feeds to 4 channel balanced B22 (PSU Not Pictured) & Audio-GD C2-SA (LCD 2.2 and D2000 Modded)

The C2-SA is used as a  preamp for an Emotiva XDA-200 powering a pair of Energy RC10 bookshelves

Sound is amazing so far, alot better than my previous W4S DAC1 & Audio-GD Digital Interface, and only 24h burn in so far. cant wait for whats to come.

Nice setups! I can't decide whether I like the black or the silver one more :D. Originally wanted the black but they only had the silver left in stock, though it does complement the HD800 quite well.

I am using mine with Analog Design Lab Svetlana 2 amp and ATH-W3000ANV headphones.

Wow..  nice photo ;) I just have my stuff stacked on top of each other... I need some kind of rack but I don't think my room is big enough... ;(
btw.. you like the sharp filter better in your setup?

I got the DA8 today!  It is still burning in so I do not want to do any critical listening yet.  It is connected to my desktop computer's SOtM USB card, and I switched the power off on the USB.

I am using it in my speaker system which consists of Octave V70SE tube integrated amp and Dynaudio Contour S3.4 speakers.  Software is Windows 7, and JRiver with JPlay (Kernal Streaming and Xtreme Engine).  The DA8 is also connected to my PS Audio GCHA headphone amp, driving the Audueze LCD-2.

I have a few questions:

1.  When watching videos in JRiver, it is better to use the DA8's ASIO drivers or WASAPI?

2.  Should I upsample everything to the maximum sample rate, 352.8/384 kHz, or leave it at the source sample rate?

3.  Is it ok to leave the DAC on at all times (24/7)?  I am concerned about the life of the LCD display.
