But the T51P was def the best of the DT1350, Amperior, HD25 lot. Fwiw, I found the M500 more comfortable.

Haven't tried T51P, but the T50p is really uncomfortable for me.

I had never tried the T50P but I despised the DT1350. The T51P has much less clamp and larger ear pads. Like I said, still not for me, but compared to the HD25-1ii and DT1350, way better comfort for an on-ear.

Yep, maybe I should try it in the market. But depends on the look, T50p looks similar to t51p

Yeah, if you look at side by side pictures, you can see the pad are different. I think I've read that there is less clamp too. That being said, I've realized that I'm just not an on-ear guy and won't be buying another.

Yep, I don't like on-ear headphone, too. But I've just tried KEF M500, it's really comfortable and good isolation

Yes it is a drop, a 5 or 6 deciBel drop compared to bass frequencies on the left and frequencies 900 Hz to 2000 Hz on the right. A trough of this magnitude means getting a half of  the SPL [ sound pressure level ] on your eardrums and that would result in a reduced loudness between 300 and 750 Hertz relative to the loudness of the parts of the frequency spectrum to the left and to the right. A drop of this magnitude would be clearly heard as a recessed part of the middle frequencies range.

So a straight line would be ideal then?

You obviously need to do more listening and less reading...

Really close...don't want to give it all away (but after a full weekend with the HP50s, it has been determined). :o

A smack down it was. I really did a lot of A-Bing, then B-Aing and back to A-Bing. :p

I'm curious to try the T51p, but like you, I'm not really an on-ear kinda guy either. But the M500s are something special. Only if they isolated better....

I hear very good, that is why I wrote what I wrote. I hear very good because I do not listen to loudness oriented types of music; when I listen to music the maximum level of loudness for me is low level loud as opposed to mid level loud or even worse, heavy metal loud. That means that my hearing is not damaged and I can clearly hear 6dB drop.
