Wha?! That's like $210?  What was head-fi like before 2012?

Mid-Bass P7 > M500 > Momentum*

Mids P7 > M500 > Momentum
Vocals P7 > M500 > Momentum
Treble P7 > M500 > Momentum
Soundstage P7 > Momentum > M500
Detail P7 > M500 / Momentum

Lightest = M500
Comfort = Subjective (though P7 pads are large and surround the outer ear, so no pressure)
Long-term wearing = Subjective as all generate heat. Great as temps dropping in the UK!
Price = M500 / Momentum > P7

All my IMO

*Generalising, for consumer tastes the Momentum mid-bass quantity will make it preferable to M500 presentation
Thank for the summarized review! But how can the P7 sound better than both yet for the price, you rate it lowest of the three in ranking? @.@

I think the ranking is about the absolute price rather than value or price/performance ratio.

I see... Thanks for clarification! smily_headphones1.gif

Yes that is right, am talking about price tag only. Do not think there is any point getting into value ratio, we all know you pay extra for style. Otherwise everyone would own a pair of GMP!

The WhatHiFi review is up guys! They give it 5 out of 5 stars.

Thanks but would wait for other reviews first, whathifi gives 90% of the products 5 stars.

Well I don't think it's 90% of products, but I somehow find it strange that they give certain products 5 stars, and other products fewer stars, while they're both very similar.

Either way, I don't take their reviews too seriously. And they don't seem to be very indepth either. But fun to read anyway. For some reason when I read whathifi I always have the feeling that it's Jeremy Clarkson (from Top Gear UK) reviewing those. The only thing missing is him saying These are the best headphones... in the wuld! with his typical British accent :) hehe Or him saying The sound coming from these headphones is biblical hehe

Here's the What HiFi group test results from the November UK issue:

Audio Technica ATH-WS99   3/5

Beats Mixr   2/5

Beyerdynamic T51p   5/5

B&W P5   4/5

Denon AH-D600   4/5

KEF M500   4/5

NAD Viso HP50   4/5

PSB M4U 1   4/5

Sennheiser Momentum   5/5

Skullcandy Mix Master   2/5

VModa M-100   3/5

They said the Beyer T51p is the best sounding of the lot. Take it for what it's worth....

You are welcome.

The fact that they put the p5 on the same level as the m500 means they cant be trusted!

depends what the ratings consider.

If it's just sound quality (which it never just is) then I agree with you.

But it never is that simple.

The other problem is we hardly ever know what source and music they're reviewing with.

If one reviewer listens and reviews exclusively to just a few genres (which is often the case) then the review is incomplete and biased.

Did the whathifi review say what the test parameters were?

Some measurements of the M500s:

Pretty darn good (and flat)...so I was hearing how it measures :p With regards to rankings, for SQ alone, I put the M500s at the top of my list. Now I'm just waiting for the P7s to be released here in North America and I'll see if I can buy a pair to add.
