I received my 8.A a little over a month ago, and I can definitely say I'm in love. I had a custom wood inlay done to mine (lighter wood letters on darker wood background, in a smoke color shell). I must say they did an excellent job. I have no trouble with the fit, although I do wish they still offered the musician fit. I have fairly large ears, and it took two packets of silicone for each of my ear impressions!
As far as the audio quality is concerned, I'm very happy. I can definitely hear things that I've never heard before, and they definitely make going back and listening to my old favorites seem like an entirely new experience! As far as isolation, they are pretty good. Without anything playing, most sounds are blocked out, with only the slightest, muffled sounds coming in. With something playing, even at low volume, everything else disappears (much to the annoyance of my coworkers when they try to grab my attention).
Another thing that I've noticed is that there's actually 3D imaging, which I'm not really used to. Several times I've been listening a song and could swear that I heard something behind me. After turning around and seeing nothing, I realize that nope, it was just in the recording. It's kind of spooky.
I don't yet have any good pictures of mine (at least good enough to do them justice), but I will definitely post the images that Heir sent me once I can dig them up.
