Myst 1794 different opa amp trying.

Hi,

Im not a "pro" DYI'er but I was wondering if I can simply "replace" NE5534P with OPA627 in there without being worried of "burning" the DAC :-) (its about Myst1794 DAC).

Some people say NE5534P is better than OPA627, some say opposite x(

Very crazy opinions out there.

Will such a replacement simply work? Or extra current will be taken (maybe extra voltage??).

The myst dac sounds better than Ibasso DX100 but I still was thinking of trying different OPA amps to experiment :-)

If Im crazy just say so... ;D

I have also RSA Intruder but... the Myst is so so much more silky...

Thanks for any reply!!!.

Anyone? Any idea?

Is there any sense? Can I replace any OPA with any OPA??

Is that a PCM1794 ? Opamps must be stable at unity gain for I/V, that's all. I'm using LM4562 as I/V and output filter with great results.

Sounds like it can be then :-) Yest it is the PCM1794. I am wondered why the myst 1974 is not so popular. I had Ibasso DX100 and can tell that myst is even better (used as dac with S3/S4)

I have intalled rolling sockets (x4) for the myst... the effect is something exceeding any expectations.

It sounds amazing with 4x opa627 plugged in. Something incredible.
