For sale is a GCHA I've had for a few months. I haven't been using my headphone rig much lately, so it might be time to move it on to someone else. Condition is probably 8.5/10 on the Audiogon scale. There are no large blemishes, but it may be scratched in a few places.
The GCHA has the same form factor as the Digital Link III DAC and uses PS Audio's Gain Cell technology instead of a typical potentiometer or attenuator. The result is a very good sounding Class A solid state amplifier capable of powering just about anything you're willing to throw at it.
If you're looking for a nice review, 6moons has one (http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/psaudio4/gcha.html)
The manual from PS Audio is also helpful (http://www.psaudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/GCHA-Amp-manual.pdf), though it [annoyingly] doesn't list specs.
Here is a quick list from my experience:
-Balanced / unbalanced inputs (selectable by rear-mounted switch)
-Class A operation
-Gain Cell technology adjusts amplifier gain instead of attenuating the signal
-Rear mounted power switch (likely left always on)
-Front mounted gain control doubles as day-to-day power switch when fully rotated counter-clockwise
-Weight: around 10 pounds
I will have to get some pictures up later, but I am looking for $275 shipped in the Continental US, paid by Paypal (please add 3% for fees). I'm open to offers as well. Includes original box, manual, power cord, and amplifier.
