Wow this thread kind of degraded... anyway I am still happy I paid $50 dollars for this headphone.

A third party seller on amazon is selling a pair for $29 + shipping.

It's a good price for anyone curious about this headphone.

Im considering buying another stock model. My current one is pretty ugly with the mods i did to it. I want to make it dual entry with detatchable cables, do some cup modding and pad rolling to fix the treble roll-off, etc.

Akg pads sound awful.

Also amazingly the pioneer pads make my bass-light akg k340 sound better.

Do the pioneer pads just add bass presence? Do they interfere with the mids?

they're more permeable which makes them a bit brighter.

Clearance at Magnolia Home Theater, if you can find one in stock, ~$37.  FYI
