looking for 3rd party cable shure se315

Thread Starter

hi all, this is my first post here but ive read the forums for a while. some threads have been very helpful in choosing equipment.

Anyway i recently bought a pair of se315's and use them daily whilst working and when i ride a few times a week. I'm after a replacement cable with inline controls and mic for an iphone like the CBL-M+K cable. The reason i don't want the CBL-M+K is that the cable seems to be of poorer construction and doesn't have the part which bends over your ears to hold the 315's in place.

What i want to know if anyone knows of any 3rd party cables which would cater to my needs. thanks

Have you checked ebay yet? I remember them having couple Shure cables with mic(third party). Just search SE535 cable(all the SEXX5 series cables have the same connector).

Believe me not having the memory wire is a god sent, the iPhone cable is WAY WAY more comfortable. Instead of memory wire the first part of the wire is curved instead of straight making it go around the ear way easier.

Other wise there is the UE900 cable both with apple clicker and without and Fiio makes a cable but no apple controls on it.

Really? I like memory wires. They stay on much better.

The memory wire on the SE series for me starts to late, there is a plastic piece where the removable cable is that is strait so the memory wire starts to far back to bend and follow the contour of my ear, on the iPod cable that little plastic piece is different and made of soft rubber and is curved so it follows right along my ear.
