Suggestions for Grado recable?

Thread Starter

Looking for inexpensive suggestions into recabling for my SR60's.  I primarily use them on walks with my dog and the stock heavy cable is growing tiresome.  I have a bit of experience soldering and have watched a couple videos.  Granted I realize I could  buy the iGrado's but I am partial to my SR60s and would like to get my feet wet in recabling.

Anyone have a vendor and suggestions for a "mobile" friendly cable that complements the Grado sound.

Thanks!

IMO thwe canare L4E6S is the best cable for grado/alessandro. If you strip it completely it's a really light cable but a bit stiff. I used it for my MS1i and it really brought out the bass and mids.

Mogami W2893 is really flexible and would be good, especially with the 4 cores stripped out and sleeved.

^ This. Even going 8 strand, it remains pretty flexible. This is one I built earlier for my Grado. You could keep the original Mogami sleeving and shielding even, and it'll still be fairly flexible; it just won't be very twist friendly.
