Have been building various full range planars over the last few years, although I did start over 20 years ago. I then started building valve amplifiers. Then when neos first came on the scene I went back to building planars again. This continues to this day. Headphone building has also started for me. I would like to send a load of pictures, but I don't know how to at the moment. If someone could help, it would be appreciated. Thanking you all in anticipation.
BUILDING VARIOUS SIZED FULL RANGE PLANARS USING NEOS AND FERRITES.
Thank you, will have to tax my brains again then! Listening to 9 of my speakers in my living room all hanging from the ceiling. Have set my ONKYO Amp up for 3 different speakers at the front. Namely one ferrite one 24" x 30", which I could use for a Sub Woofer. One 60 x 40 mm using ferrites again, and the last one 12" x 16" using neos. These 3 are being used with another 7 60 x 40 mm ones using neos. You use the microphone which came with the amp. It's not really accurate as all come up slightly different every time you measure, even the same layouts! I suppose it all down to what's laying about in the room, which is quite crowded.
Some pics of my work over the last 8 years, Full range planars from A4 size to 4' x 2'. Included are some designs for headphones as well full range planars as well, although I am still learning the difficulty of building them, distortion wise!! Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.HENRY.
