The new IEM of Vsonic VSD 3S ( impression updated by smailbz) - Page 56

Haha, no offence taken for those that are still holding off on the review but I would take my review with a pinch of salt as well. there's certainly many out there with better impressions they can give you and these are the ones I'd look to. Consider mine a "layman" impression if you will :)

It does remind me alot of the GR series but cheaper. I'd take the better fit of the VSD3S anytime though. The swivelly things did drive me crazy.

P.s. I stay in Singapore, where LMUE is based. So by post it would take about a day or two max. Singapore is 42km from one end to the other.

Only issue I encountered while listening to melt by heart to stone by Adele was that the high sounded abit harsh.. But other than that everything sounded pitch perfect to me.. Will post another impression of it once I do a proper burn in.

Very early to conclude and burn-in will fix those.......btw,welcome to head-fi and sorry about your wallet!

The box is sexy.......so the foam tips are of comply ones, the gray color? And the 3.5mm is a straight as against their rt angled and the cable seems to be bit sturdy, not rubbery or as flexible.......

Oh I had someone asking about sibilance. If I do remember the GR07 I had two years ago I would say that VSonic does have sibilance as part of it's sound signature and it should be likewise for the VSD3S. There's a good chance my ears are used to the sibilance which reduces the effect but I would say there's still the chance it might drive some of you away.

I acknowledge that I'm new around here and I don't pretend to be the know-it-all audiophile. Just felt some of you may have liked inputs nonetheless :) My review primarily revolves around the fact that for an IEM is the price of entry level but doesn't exactly give entry level performance.

I just received mine, the packaging was smaller than I expected, waiting for the burn in now. Recommendation for the minimum number of hours?

Nah, I'll be willing to pay extra for standard mail instead of fedex, dhl, ups etc. First, of all 99% of the packages sent by such courier services are held at the customs here. Second, they want me to pay ridiculous handling fees and require me to give them a power of attorney, so in the end I have to go the airport and deal with it myself and the release procedures at the airport customs are way more time consuming and ridiculous in comparison to the post office customs.

Anyway, I still haven't had any issues with LMUE and the customs and the average time for receiving their packages has been 4-10 days, so hopefully I should receive my vsd3s by the end of next at the latest.

vsonic has distinctive privilege of taking long time biggrin.gif, both announcing & releasing excellent IEMs and burn-in time......but the end result is fruitful. wink.gif

yes for lmue(for now,us being poor non-chinese,-no offense anyone) but no for current stock.gotta wait for 3rd pre-order or bulk retail stocking....when?no clue.reg the genre its very early stage, but vsd3s tuned for balanced and vsd3 for bass. Hope this helps.......

Edit=>>>regarding the sound signature of vsd3 brothers, pls note that its claimed by vsonic and revealed by lmue. So I would assume myself a clean slate wiping out what it is being claimed (by any/manfr) just like i did for my previous phones collections and do so whenever i purchase the new ones, as a rule of thumb and conclude self. The actual end result is one's sole decision about its actual SS and vary among us.
