Dear all,

I am sorry to announce that the preorder for the highly anticipated VSD3 has been pushed back to 15th June. Only the black color option will be available for preorder. The time of the preorder will be announced later.

Vsonic had revised the price of the preorder to SGD46. (original price: SGD56). We will be refunding the difference to those who preordered the VSD3S shortly.

The VSD3/VSD3S/VSD5 pricing has been finalised:

VSD3S/VSD3 Black: SGD46 (preorder price)/ SGD 56 (after preorder price)

VSD3S/VSD3 Red, Blue, Purple: SGD 68

VSD5 Purple and Pink: SGD86

Furthermore, we had clarified with Vsonic on the sound signature of the VSD3/VSD3S/VSD5

Both VSD3/VSD3S have a Westone 4Rish soundsignature with the VSD3S having a more balanced sound while the VSD3 has a more enhanced bass.

VSD5 will be tuned to be similiar to the Sony EX1000.

I hope this will clear up all the confusion surrounding these products and we apologise if we had been misleading in anyway.

From LMUE facebook page. So they should sound as $400 and $550 priced phones, huh?

 - They look very black from the outside, I would have liked them to be bit more transparent.
 - They look very nicely made with hi-fi look, especially the cord.
 - They feel very comfortable to wear.
 - They are very sensitive (easily driven), even more so than my ES18. This also means I can hear quiet hiss from most of my sources. For reference when playing from my Macbook Pro I'll have to set the volume to lowest setting and then lower it some more from music player to be comfortable.
  - Mid-bass isn't very strong but sometimes the deep bass surprises with it's power (but again, I haven't listened to real hifi-gear much).
  - It seems to be good at separation, meaning even listening to rock I can recognize different instruments clearly.

Overall I'm very happy with the purchase.
Mind posting some pictures.....iem and included accessories.

Nothing too special in the accessory department but I uploaded a pic anyway. There is also small simple bag that I forgot from the photo: http://i.imgur.com/B0u5JGV.jpg

Which VSD3 version is recommended for Alternative rock/hip-hop/pop?

Coming from the GR07, would I like the Westone 4 (meaning, would I like the VSD3S?) :regular_smile :

That new pricing makes the VSD3S $40 CAD

Could you give us the specs from on or inside the box? I know the VSD1 were different when I ordered them from what was in the paperwork after I got them. Thanks!

Interesting, they give the F.R. of  5 - 31,500 which would better the ones they put on the VSD1 was rated to 10 to 22,000 if I remember correct.

Compared to the vsd1/s accessories from headfi thread vsd3/s seems to be less generous if i'm not mistaken, there's no double flange for vsd3/s am i right?and how about the tonality, does it have a good extension on both ends?can wait further impression from you guys ;-)

lol I never trust any of the frequency response specs I see and honestly it never matters - it's not like someone can hear even up to 22khz let alone 30k+ and the same goes for the lower end. and hearing something like 5hz and also 10 for that matter.

I think I said this in another thread the other day. The specs are not about real world human hearing. They are about the product performance rating in relation to one another. I just got my new earbuds which are rated to 16Hz over the old model which was 20Hz. They nailed it and I can hear the better reach in the higher model. Of course we can't hear to some of these specs they put out as low as 4Hz and high as 80,000Hz but they are just performance comparison numbers.

It just shows that Vsonic are telling us these will improve in these areas. They promise it or are leading us to believe it any how and certainly they can improve over the VSD1 on those fronts IME with them. The GR07 at 30,000 really reached much better than the VSD1's did and so should the VSD3.

 - Frequency response: 5Hz - 31.5KHz

 - Distortion: < 1% (at 94dB 20(micro) pa)

 - Channel balance: <1.5dB at 500Hz (< 2bD at 10Hz - 1250Hz)

 - Rated power: 10mW

 - Maximum Input Power: 30mW

 - Plug: 3.5mm dual-channel plug

The vsd1/s originally came with 4 sets of colored foam tips but they were left out when they changed the packaging.

1 pair of white foams

1 biflange

SML silicone (?) tips

But I wonder if the non-presale editions will have different accessories?
