Yep, I think you described it pretty well. Warm bass, relaxed mids, spicy treble.

Hey I am in a big problem. My friend gifted me vsd1 bought from lendmeurears some months back. They got stolen in my college.Today I caught the thief but he's denying stealing them and says its his.Is there a way to verify that those are mine ? Like a unique serial number on the earphones etc ? Please let me know asap.I am very troubled by this.

Try to catch him out and ask where he got those. It's rare to find headphones like those in store so you could use that to your advantage.

Actually it's a she.And she says her sister's friend gifted it to her.Since I am from India you cant buy these locally so I am going to grill her over that but since she's a girl I will have to prevent myself from going all out on her. Many of my friends had seen and demoed the iems and knew they were stolen so they are going to back me up but I need some hard proof.Like a serial number which matches with the box etc.Anyone knows anything ?

Some of costlier IEMs have the ser # stamped either on the shells or near 3.5mm jack end.....and vsd1LE being entry level, surprisingly has the 3 digit # stamped on one ear piece but not vsd1/s, to distinguish from both vsd1/s......being all three uses same shell and cables.....

Do you at least still have the packaging it came in?

What if she says its been bought used thru "white van"? near a bank ATM? Having said that and you very much aware you are, THE rightful owner, just let it go,if you ask me or if I were in that situation.....its a matter of $40 (used means less value tho :-( ) and assume that you gifted it to a friend,if not a good friend......consider its time for you to upgrade your IEM and just raise your collar with pride and just walk away.....from her, forever.
Or her guilty consciousnes might let her keep it back tomorrow? Who knows..

I agree. If they're that petty over it and you aren't out $40 bucks, I'd say they aren't good friends to begin with. Just go get yourself a VSD3S for $45 or a GR07 classic for $100. Upgrade your IEMs and upgrade your friends.

As a person who's been a poor college student in the past, sometimes $40 is a lot more than it would be to other people who can just throw that away.  If it's important to you, I'd find a way to get them back.  If it's not that important to you, I'd tell the authorities given if a person's been proven to have stolen one thing, it's not exactly outside the realm of possibility that other things have been stolen as well.  Also, for me, it would be a matter of principle to try to get it back, I don't like bullies or thieves.

Well, if he paid his hard earned money for them, it's a different story. Even if you aren't a poor student, $40 isn't just throwaway money. I was speaking more to the fact that he said he was gifted a pair. I agree that he should report it and that he should stand up for himself, but sometimes it's easier to cut ties rather than deal with all the drama.
