Silver platet or pure silver differences

Was wondering...is there any noticeable difference between a pure silver cable and a copper1silver plated ones?

 

i was looking at galaxy silver for a cable replacement on my senny ie80 but they dont make it as pure silver but just copper silver plated :/

 

any help?

Yes.  Pure silver costs more.  Otherwise, no.

It all depends on who you ask. If you are worried about the extra cost that silver cables would be, than your system problem isn going to be up to par to get any extra benifit that true silver cables can bring.

How about telling him what benefit silver silver cables might offer if his system was up to par?

If your system isnt resolving enough, the extra money for silver would be a waste because there wouldnt be a differenence. Typically silver over copper can sometimes be a little strident or harsh in the upper mids/low highs.A little more warmth in the lower mids with a little looser bass. These are generalizations There is always exceptions.

Thats kind of what I thought.  Without getting into the lack of repeatable experimental evidence, perhaps we could just agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I tried not to give an impression originally because it usually just turns into a big debate. Why get it started? He also didnt specify what type of cables like IC or headphone recable? Some area are more noticeable than others.

anyway im looking for a senny ie 80 cable replacement...was wondering about Silver or copper silver plated.
pure silver are a bit out of my wallet :/
