Best earphones under 250$, all genre, for sports/gym

Hi everyone,

I just broke my UE Fi 5 PRo and I need a new pair of earphones, price tag max 250 usd.

- I listen to pretty much all genre, majority is pop, prog and alternative rock, electronic, instrumental and even some rap.

- 90% they will be used in gym and for running.

- They should be comfortable to wear but I am not planning to wear them for extended periods of time (like max 2 hrs in a row).

- They will be amped by old Ipod classic so they shouldnt be very demanding on power source

- I prefer more colored sound then pure neutral sound and I enjoy the bass, but doesnt have to be "overkill".

- I am not very picky about isolation but it would be certainly a plus

So far I have one favorite and thats Sennheiser IE 80, I can get them new for 235 USD, is this good buy or can I get something better for that money? What would you guys recommend?

Thank you in advance

Actually Triple Fi were long time my favorite, thing is if I buy new it would be pretty much the same price as IE 80 and I am kind of scared of buying used ones on the forums because you never know at what condition are they...But ye those 2 are pretty much my favorite currently, but I am totally open to some other ideas as well

tf10s wont stand up to the abuses for working out. and good luck keeping those behemoths in you ears during a workout. I couldnt.

It's funny, but when I read the preview of this thread before actually clicking on it and reading the OP's full post - I was thinking IE8 or 80. They are built like a tank, have great cables - are a dynamic and hence less susceptible to damage from moisture - and sound great - plus the extended bass response makes easier listening to them when you are active. I'd go there.

KSC75. It's ten bucks. Lifetime warranty. Seriously. What do you have to lose?
