I got my sd3 since 2 weeks and wooo i like them a lot. I came from the Yamaha EPH-100.

Is the cable detachable, and if yes how to detach it ? (I did not dare force)

Thanks

Thread Starter

I expect maybe something like a JH .... something would be the only other iem worth auditioning after these.

Think the iem wallet is safe for a while.

I don't have it, but looking at pictures, it looks like a standard 2 pin JH cable. If this is the case, pulling straight back should remove it from the housing. If it is tight, just keep on adding a bit of force holding onto the plug. If you still have issue, since it seems like it is flush with the housing (not recessed) you should be able to help it along by putting your nails under it if it is REALLY that stuck.

However, again, this is all supposition based on pictures. I'm sure someone who actually has it can chime in if I'm incorrect.

Feel like auditioning the ASG-2 and see how it compares with the SD-3. But locally i think only 1-2 people have it, it isn't that popular at the Singapore forums.
Has anyone tried changing the cable of SD-3 yet?

Both are not that popular in Singapore forums, but the ASG-2 can be auditioned at ConnectIT, JEM as Auridonics has official distributor in Singapore. So far I noticed 2 pairs of almost new ASG-2 are for sale at the local forum.
As for the SD-3, IIRC there are 2 Singaporean users in this forum.

The ASG2 thread is longer so the conclusion can be made that it is better than the SD3! popcorn.gif

Yes, why? I currently have 4 different (C)IEM cables (old-UE, JH, Westone style). I constantly switch cables on my two StageDivers to whichever color suits my clothes or mood best.

If you are asking for sonic changes, you will get nothing but a "LOL" from me.
