^ I am guessing SD3 has +10dB bass compared to DT1350. You will not like them!

tm.chen, something sounds wrong. Harsh treble? Can you do a sinus sweep and name the peak?

Eke is going to write a SD3 vs ASG-2 comparison in a few days. Just hope over to the ASG2 thread ;-)

Thanks guys, very nice and interesting thread that I have entirely read, waiting on Thomann availability to order one, this IEM fit entirely my taste !

This can be the perfect IEM for my future moded T51 (by Burnwaygta4), still in Russia on the surgery table right now :)

Carlsan can you be kindly to give me your impressions between the XBA40 (is in your signature) and the SD3 ?

you can guess who will be the winner? i can k701smile.gif

fyi, i chicken out and will not order SD3, after reading reviews about Merlins, JH13 and else i think i take a pause and then order something like Miracles or Merlins and a new AK100-S with RSA Intruder :-)

or may be Gavin places a new 2+3? tongue.gif

ah.... yes, i want them all but after my Audiophilleo with pure power unit arrived today i guess i will be going into full blown earth shaking wall moving musical listening experience on full front end system ... so less time for portable then. wink_face.gif

Ultrazino.

Sorry. still not getting used to all terms used to describe audio. Harsh treble is probably the wrong term for it.

Certain songs I ripped from CDs have that certain shrilliness that wasnt there when I tried with my V6 and W4. Cymballs, bells and singers with high pitched voices, the lows are fine tho. Not sure if it is my source or CD master frown.gif

Chen, same story about some other IEMs like TF10 or H200.., frankly i did not hear many that would be able to give fine resolve to trebles, 1+2 is one of rare spieces capable of this.

I can`t wait for the comparison, could be a few raised eyebrows around here;-)

Edit: The SD3 certainly doesn`t mind getting dirty, in fact it`s a mudlark.

Hmmm I think it's going to be a close race.
And I don't really know who will win it...but i want to know it so bad!
I can't decide between these two gems :'(

Sinth, you hard on me only because i am trying to save some pennies? :-)

No race, musical pleasure is all about relaxing, no stress and testing.... Game over, turn off... For some time.

In the same boat mate, when I eventually move house any spare cash will be on hifi equipment (which will include a Project turntable).

yeap, unfortunately spending is not only about musical gear, we need money for other things too.

and i bought too many stuff in just two months so now busy selling some older gear, incoming 2k cash hopefully soon, then craze goes all again :-)

Very true, how dare real life get in the way of "phones".

Oooh 2k nice.

Although purchasing is off at the min, sitting with the SD3, W4 and Momentums is more than good enough, thankfully.

what pains me is in my place no shop has proper IEMs, generally in Europe experience is bad, i envy HK guys who can test most of gear in shops and need not waste hundreds for this.

even in Russia they now have doctor head... While in Austria no way to audition and not only portable but also high end gear where mistake choice costs you much more. I know some guys who lost some thousands reselling, real pain. :-(((
