From my limited time with the 5 against my more extensive SD3 time, I tend to agree.

I've had the 4.Ai, UE900, IE800, W4, TF10, FX700 and quite some more for a very long time (all thoroughly reviewed) and I will bet my account on the fact that the StageDiver 3 is technically superior to any of those. Even though it has too much bass for my taste.

I haven't heard the 1Plus2, but I wonder how much quality can be between them that you you draw your conclusion so quickly. (I hope to audit them in August on the hifi show in Hongkong.) Please don't take this offensively, but I presume you might have judged too quickly. Of course I am but one opinion, but I have taken great care of my review in foresight that it may be quoted in months to come. My verdict: especially 4.Ai has nothing on them, balanced or not!

We know they are tuned very warmly (for on stage use, obviously), but do you think you can add one more aspect that hasn't been covered before?

Ultrazino, 1plus2 is another league and is very special IEM, trust me.

while quality make (shells, feel, shiny look) might be better on SD3 the sound quality on 1plus2 is something what makes people pay over 1K $$$.

i have H200, RDB+v1 and you know what, when i heard 1plus2 i immediately reached for my wallet :-)

this is not about fanboyism... this is all about personal taste and people consensus, i doubt so many users can be wrong.

mind this i trust Sinth and others here and i might be adding SD3 in future, just not this month. mind this you know how many temptations are around? FitEars, Merlins and of course 12BA from Rhapsodio :-D

No offense, but I don't think you're quite qualified to say that without hearing the SD3 first.

Having both iems, I think I can give my opinion.

I due think that the 1plus2 is technically superior, which is to be expected at more than twice the price. However, direct comparison is not that relevant to me as SD3 and 1plus2 have opposite signatures. Someone who likes clarity and speed will prefer the 1Plus2 in any case, and someone who favors smoothness and warmth will prefer SD3, even if he / she finds the 1Plus2 superior (or not).

It is more relevant to compare SD3 to TG334, because they are boss bassy and thick sounding, with a very 3D soundstage IMO. And in that comparison, the SD3 is a much better bang for the buck than the TG334 IMO.

To conclude, I think SD3 is a great offer, if you like this kind of signature. I do, but not as my only iem, and I am happy to have to clarity and accuracy of the 1Plus2 as well.

I hope to have the 1plus2 by sometime next month, I put a deposit on it, and tralucent audio is just beginning the production of it.

I should then be able to compare the two, as well as the ASG-2.

oh, and thanks  Mimouille  for your quick comparison.

Does anyone know how does Thomann's tracking number translate to normal international post tracking number? Mine is 166****** etc but the local post office requires a different number to track.

Type that number into the search box on this website: http://www.track-trace.com/post

Click "Track Direct" and select Germany and it should come up with something.

Thanks. It is the same information as on Thomann's. Guess I should just ignore tracking and wait for it to be delivered.

Eke, i had a chance to listen to a few pretty good IEMs like AKG3003, higher line from FAD (thanks to James444) and also have TF10, H200, RDB+v1 and heard a few more including Senns famous IE800. excuse me pal but 1plus2 comes on top of all of them for me personally. there is simply no race. the only two that could seriously challenge 1plus2 were AKG3003 and IE800.

so only if you willing to suggest that SD3 or ASG2 beats all of them i would be willing to accept your criticism.

of course you welcome to believe in fairy tales like Ford driving as good as BWM5 or 7 but in real world that would inexplicable.

that's WELL worth opinion and i am subscribed to this. thanks for sharing.

i myself feel that SD3 is heck a lot for the money and can become a very good back up IEM for my 1plus2. as much as i love H200 i feel SD3 is very interesting proposition for not overly high price.

SD3 vs. TG334??? wow......... thanks pal, you made me smile now because i was seriously thinking about adding TG334. perhaps must give SD3 a chance before deciding if it makes sense to pony big buck for TG334.

But not the SD3, which was the point of my post wink.gif

Btw, I prefer the IE800 over the 1p2. Same for the ASG-2. You've read my comparison.

Eke, very much agree tastes are different and IE800 or AKG3003 are great IEMs so it all will boil down to personal preference. I recall James444 liking his AKG3003 over 1plus2 but he admitted 1plus2 was very interesting and in fact both have similar sonic signature with AKG leaning more towards laidback and mellower sound with smooth warm enveloping bass while 1plus2 bringing more dynamics and sparkle. Both were damn good in comparison so it would be only about personal preference and i can easily recommend both to anyone.

ASG-2... uhm....... i wish i would be so brave as to purchase every IEM i want to audition, sadly re-selling is pain and i will lose real cash (i hate resellling actually, waste of time and it costs)....... so i will abstain for the time being :-(

SD3.... hm, at least inEar is cross the boarder from me and i can inquire with them if they can send me a demo unit before i decide.

Yes but I am not saying sd3 is better than 334. just that at their respective prices I would rather go for sd3. and 334 bass is not tight enough for me.

The SD3 is on my desk!

Might post some more pics when I get home this evening. Can't wait to put them in my ears biggrin.gif
