It will cost me $50 more for the beats pro, so keep that into consideration. Which are the best? I want really good bass and I think all of these have a detachable cord. so does anybody know? Thanks! Just found out DJ1 is same as hfi 580

No! Nononononooooooooo!! Not pros... Get sony XB1000s from http://www.accessoryjack.com/sony-mdr-xb1000-extra-bass-headphones-black.html or get US Pro 900s from amazon. I used to have pros, please dont make the mistake i did. Not durable, uncomfortable, and the bass in my atrio MG7s is more satisfying IMO.

Well I think a general rule of thumb is[or should be] to not ever buy "Beats" from all my testing they're poorly designed and seriously over priced.

Not too much of a bass-head (not to say I don't love Bass, where appropriate I do!) so sorry I can't suggest the best cans for you. Anyway, good luck.

I can get beats pro for $160 so I am going with that. XB1000's look ridiculous and dont even have a detachable cord.

160?! Unless they are ridiculously used, they are fake.

I'd definitely recommend the ATH WS99. Wonderful headphone.

But hey,i understand. That's how i felt when i went for the pros. I just kept telling myself lots of producers used them and they were the best i could get! But when i got them i learned... I even paid full price on the beats website to make sure i got the real thing. And i regretted it,big time. The XB1000s look funny because they have huge pads and 70mm drivers. They don't have a detachable cord, but the US Pro 900s do,and the look of them is quite appealing IMO. I'm sure you could get them somewhere for under 350 USD,but i haven't looked into it... Just post a thread about them or search them on head-fi. I swear you will love them.

Haha I can get them from a buddy for 160. Barely used open box from bestbuy.

I am not stupid. I know the pros are not anything producers use or anything, but they are pretty damn good if you can get a deal on them, I just want to know if the pro700 or hfi580 are anything near.

Oh in that case ok,but i still warn you, they are not worth it. I had them for 2 months, trust me.

EDIT:I'm not trying to bash the company,i'm trying to save you money. Someone did a full review and this was his conclusion.

Conclusion

The soundsignature could very well be described as muddy with overbearing low end even more than the studios already had.

After all monster outdid themselves with a product with No class D amplifier Nor noise cancellation and a higher price that fell lower than the already low standar the studios had. Even if the recordings were done in such a way as to have instruments or synthesized to sound more or less at certain frequencys, the beats fell short no matter what I tried.

Hereby for anyone who were having a modicum of hope for monster bigger headphones, I wouldn't give much for looking at them again even though they had made mediocre headphones.
