Any update on a quick comparison between those two? I have the FXZ200 so a comparison will give me a better idea of how the SZ2000 stands. Thanks!

They share the house sound and just like the FXZ200, the SZ2000 will clear up its midrange while having a huge soundstage after the burnin. The bass is boss on the SZ2000 and FXZ200 is left floundering while keeping the rest of the spectrum intact.

has anyone heard the hdj 2000. I am wondering wich of the two are clearer in the mids.

Also do the pads come off easily?

@gikigill

Thank you bru.

Your review caused me to make the last Headphone purchase I will make for a while. This site is so full of fanboy ******** it's hard to see whats real. JVC is the balls. The 77x punched me in the face and these caved my skull in...Awesome cans. Like an acoustic science lab in a hardened shell.......... good times!!

Thank you!!!:L3000::beerchug:

Told you matey, these are the hidden gems for bassheads. Too bad they aren't available everywhere.

I like you.

So after watching this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4OEUjKutWk&list=UUM3l8DGeyX-7RuggVT1OXmQ my bass jimmies are extremely rustled. I watched your other videos and I can't agree with you more about some of the 'reviews' on this site.

I have gone through a few sets of cans over the years but I have never really found any with 'god-mode' bass. I have owned/used the following extensively: D1100, HD 25-1 ii, RP-HTF600, ATH-M50, HAM55X, RP-DH1200

Out of those listed, the AH D1100s were the only ones that actually had some thumpin bass.

Unfortunately the AH D1100s were cheap plastic pieces of crap- and the rest of the fq range sounded poor to me. M50s were okay but they don't really live up to the HYPE I've read so much about. HD 25-1 ii's were great, but I'm looking for more. A friend recommended the HAM55X but they aren't that great. Looking through youtube videos on the HAM55X led me to you.

The SZ2000 seem like the headphones I have been dreaming of.

EDIT: Screw it, just ordered from Comtachi Japan. Won't see them till July- but I am ******* pumped!

I rock a Sundown X "15 sub (4.0cu 32hz tuned bandpass box), tied to a 120amp class D monoblock. If I had more $$ I would have gone bigger. So I guess you could call me a basshead. ^___^

How would you compare the SZ2000s to the headphones I have listed? Do they completely blow them out of the water in terms of bass quantity or are the marginally better than most? The SZ2000 seem like the headphones I have been dreaming of.

My sole purpose on this site is Bass.

If bass is the crack cocaine you need then a pad change is in order. Stock pads are o.k. maybe for some but for bassheads you want the tranfer shown in that video vibing your skull and neck meat.

Portable amp....pad switch (takes almost no time)

And I assure you ....you posses end-game bass in the headphone arena.

Why didn't you know about these? Why didn't anyone tell me? On March 6th I re-found them and now us bass heads got our cans.

That vibe video is a visual of low freq energy. The paper is roughly analogous to human skin.

I threw down the challenge. More than words.

Have not received a challenger yet.

There are in-fact the low end kings.

These are them.

Please order replacement pads

I still have my HAM55Xs- could I use those pads with the SZ2000?

EDIT: looks like I already have a new set of pads then. I'll post back when I receive my SZ2000s- I'll share my first impressions for anyone who cares to listen.
