I really like the Norse mythology and I like what Schiit have done with the naming scheme, maybe it's my call :)

So my next plan is as follows - Get something like audio-gd NFB-28 (Or something as an AIO system) until I can save  up for a serious system, cause STX served me well up until I bought my serious headphones, now it's lacking in every respect :(

And yeah, Americans can't pronounce European words, Yggdrasil and Ragnarok :D It's really as easy as that. Maybe I need to make some audio clips but I don't have a webcam/mic right now to do that.

but this is close: http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=Yggdrasil

Gimme a prize, I want the two systems :D

(For people doubting my european origin, I'm ukrainian!)

You posted in the Head-Fi forum and expected a sane and logical response.

Yggdrasil, Ragnarok etc are old norse words. Only Scandinavians and Islanders are speaking languages that originate from old norse. They are part of the Germanic launguage group, though.

Amercians are no worse than the Brits, French, Russians or even the Finnish (who talks a totally differnt launguage, even if it is one of the Nordic coutnies). Norwegian, Swedish and Danish - (i.e. Scandinavian launguages) - are basically distant dialects and easily understood (sometimes with some practice). Islandic is not understandable to Scandinavians at all, even though it is also from old norse.

Thanks =:) This is serious Schiit. I guess Americans never will manage to say it the "norse way" no matter how much they try, they just don't know the right sounds. So Ughdrasell will probably be pronounced ughdrasell anyway. And that is totally fine, especially since Schiit is American and gave them their name (probably with an American pronunciation) . But some might find it interesting to discuss language while we are waiting for the goodies.

Now if someone would post a video on how to pronounce Linn's product names, I'd be forever grateful :tongue_smile:

Here's a start :biggrin:

KLIMAX = Climax

AKURATE = Accurate

MAJIK = Magic

I always found Naim's names (or naims)  entertaining - SNAIC, Headline, Nait, Nap, Nac etc

Better answer this, what will these 9.6 watt into 50 ohm do to the LCD-3's? Will this destroy my LCD-3? XD

I mean, come on, 9.6 watt!!!!!!!!

This thing is serious, I wanna hear it.

Has anyone tried to listen to it?

And before anyone is bashing me, I know they are not out, but I've heard there was some demo in the RMAF thing which I can't attend ATM (for obvious reasons).

Some have tried, but they quickly had to unplug lest they die a terrible death of ecstatic revelation.

They will make sure you have plenty of headroom. Whether you will ever need those watts is another question. The important thing is that the first watt sounds good...

Well both these should better be an end-game setup cause it's expensive XD

How about this for wattage and a pure signal path? I would have a charred smile on my face :veryevil:
