Massive Multi-Killowatt hunks of Iron.

Plus large diameter solid copper grounding rods pounded into the earth.

and a motor driven variac voltage regulator in front of the isolation transformer

if you can find one.

Which can be rather painful depending on the circumstances. biggrin.gif

But seriously, a rod stuck in the ground simply doesn't have any relevance at all to the proper grounding of an audio system.

Umm... What's an MOT?

MOT = Member of the Trade, a manufacturer of some kind of audio goods. I wondered about that when I first got here too ;)

Nothing else other than the original estimate: Rag - late 2013, Ygg - early 2014.

Cool...thanks. Looking forward to hearing impressions of them.

There will be a tube version of the Rag right? Do we have a timeline on that yet? WIll it pretty much have the same specs except the use of tubes?

From what I understand there will be a Hybrid option, similar to the Lyr, LG, etc. Can't answer the rest, but I remember reading that the hybrid will come a bit later after the release of the SS version.

Little birdy told me it was a tube input based on the 6SN7.  Though it was a while ago so I don't know for sure if it's coming or got scrapped.

Right I forgot it was supposed to be a hybrid. I remember reading that now. I like hybrids. Still get some tube lushness with them like I did with the Lyr. I had fun rolling in different tubes. I miss the sound of my 60s Telefunkens. Sigh...

That would be fun. A whole new family of tubes for me to explore. My first and only experience is rolling with the Lyr, which was fun, yet expensive of course. LOL.

I'm thinking the Rag might be my end game (if it lives up to the expectation that is), but not super interested in the Yggy for some reason. I'm still more interested in the Anedio D2 or Lynx Hilo for now, but I guess it could all change fast depending on the reviews for the Ygg.
