before the statement products. Either way, I don't care, DSD is already dead, that is, to me.

Ultimately, me neither. ;-)

I really feel bad for Schiit because they actually did a survey about DSD and they concluded nobody cares about it. Gave away a free Bifrost and everything. But now it's all the rage and everyone must have a DSD capable DAC or somehow they feel like they're missing out. I really don't understand it since the format is dead and nobody is producing music in DSD anymore (correct me if I'm wrong, not sure about this).

I for one really don't care about DSD.

I say leave out the DSD and put a I2S input in it's place. biggrin.gif

Thanks to you I actually did some research on I2S and it sounds exciting. I can see why this might be the future hype after DSD. Schiit can get ahead of wave right now. biggrin.gif

What DACs currently have I2S inputs?

you think an industry obsessed with the time domain and analogue superiority would have something like IIC upheld as THE gold standard of Digital Audio.

If I've learned one thing about Head-Fi in all my time hear, is that people will disagree with just about everything. It's hard to set up standards, let alone gold standards, LOL even if you're right. But I hope I2S pans out and there is huge jump in quality for DACs in general.

Most popular ones would be the W4S-2 and the PWD MK II

There are others.
