New Schiit! Ragnarok and Yggdrasil - Page 164

I guess the only thing Jason has to worry about is NO interest in the product.  And that does not seem to be a problem at this time

...though this thread is keeping me highly amused, so carry on...

And without offending anyone especially Jason himself - every time Jason is spending time making another Schiit Diary post is time NOT being spent working on Rag...

It was not aimed at you. And where did I say you cannot ask? All I said is that I can provide no certainty at the moment.

With respect to working on the Ragnarok, it's now more a waiting game as we have yet to take delivery of the control boards from the board house. I'm spending my time on more productive things, like lower-cost products that (hopefully) will not incite the heavy breathing that comes with top-end components and will (definitely) be much more important to our overall sales.

If you were the first or even the 15th one to ask, it might have been received differently.  42nd on the other hand...

Also, you were guilty of not trying to first read the thread for your answer, since the topic has already been belabored at some considerable length, to put it mildly. You just throw out a post hoping for an easy answer, and then are bewildered by the hardened responses, without again researching the probable cause.  Lazy effort is your crime, altho your timing was pert near perfect.

Don't sweat it, just chin up and move on. People have gotten way too intense in this thread. It's basically just a cycle of people getting angry with each other until Jason is nice enough to check in.

It will come when it's ready, and that's a good thing.

Don't worry man - I always ask questions without reading threads. The others will just have to put up with it - not everyone is going to read through the whole thread. If that means answering the same question 50 times then fine, I don't mind that.

That pretty much sums up every internet forum everywhere

It's all part of the fun!

I am not so sure about 'definitely' part. Based on the mindset of the typical audiophile community, any products below certain price range is essentially ignored because people believe those products will sound inferior to ones with much higher pricetag.

Your Rag and Ygg, the situation might be different. I keep hearing stores regarding audiophile product sales that after artificially boosted the msrp of the previously an underselling product, suddenly the product became selling like crazy because it was now expensive enough to taken as a serious audiophile product.

The fact that there are stories like this demonstrate how unhealthy the whole industry is (basically mid-level products do not exist/sell poorly)..... Anyway, with Rag and Ygg priced far higher than Mjolnir and Gungnir.... well, R&Y might sell more than M&G (in terms of both profit and quantity) only because price is high enough (very silly reason indeed, but it is reality of audiophile product industry).

We will see about that.

Forget measurements. I just created my website and placed an order. Jason, is there expedited shipping on this?😝

I can absolutely say, "definitely" based on our results.

Stores are a different model. That's a constrained, influenced, self-selected, high-income buyer. Not buyers as a whole.

Could also make much more expensive products where the buyers will be used to waiting/custom ordering/one off builds etc.  Maybe Rag/Ygg are in some kind of heavy breathing sweet spot where cheaper or more expensive are both better in that regard.

BTW what kind of DAC is Ygg using if not R2R.  I'm so super confused right now.

Who says it's not true multibit? They're smoking their lawn.
