Well, I really got into the dog house when I accused my ex of being my redundant as.

How often would you guys recommend changing pads on HD800? I use mine for 2 hours daily and have had them now for 7 months.

That's an average of 400 hours. You think that warrants a change? Maybe after 1000?

Sorry I posted this on the wrong thread.

^

yeah, but I bet you could get a few good answers here anyway.

Beats questions, not so much...

That really should not happen though. Very fast way to scare your customers to NOT buy products if you revision stuffs right after a new product has released. Competent companies thoroughly test their products before they ship.  For instance, no one really complains or questions build quality / reliability of Oppo's new headphones or amp/DAC combo (except inevitable firmware updates).

On the other hand, I am still waiting Hifiman to finally finalize their inevitable HE-560 revisions. Audeze also suffered same problem, but they got better these days.

I went 3 years of much heavier use (≈ 6-12hrs/day) before I changed them out.

It made no audible difference that I could tell.

With that usual disclaimer on the same post, I am now predicting that there will be a high chance that Ragnarok and Yggdrasil will be released in same time, or Ragnarok alone will be released mid-June at earliest. But realistically I believe it will be at the beginning of July at this point.

Don't bet on it. I remember that tag once said '$1499, December 2013'.  :p

True, but this one IS a "production" unit. Time will tell!
