That fiio rc sounds better than my 60 dollars effect studio cable imo but it's because of the highs the effect studio tame the highs a lot. but build quality is awful im going to send back my second fiio cable to the store tomorrow and be refunded my right headphone stops sounding in both units and the cable seems broke at the end which happened also twice, be careful.

Price is about 3 pizzas only if build quality been better... is a really good sounding cable and a steal for the price

Ahah Kurdt you're incorrigible :D I will never again pay for custom tips, but I can understand that enthusiasm, it was the same for me and that a very audio enthusiast period for me, loved my ER4p with these !

I'm trying Jays tips with the FA4, not very isolating, but very comfortable and the sound is as good as with ES tips. I'm very impatient to receive my other eartips :)

yeah you are right xD but fun apart, each time i change to comply or silicone tips i feel a significant different in sound it's real but i guess I'm lucky I've read reviews of people not as lucky as me with custom tips, but remember i did the whole process with earprotech (acs in spain) so the owner took my impressions i guess it's a bit different going to  the audiologist and sending the impressions by yourself and there is more risk with the fit also.

So I bought a second-hand pair and received the FA-4E on Monday. I've been listening, tip rolling, and getting used to them for a couple days now. Immediately I removed the stock cord and installed a BTG copper cable. That made a nice difference. Early on I am enjoying them a lot more than I expected, considering their price compared to my current favorite, the TG334.

Rather than write up something coherent, I think I'll just list some of my early observations, bullet point style.

> Immediately struck by how clear and transparent the FA4E is.
> Bass is quite good (I always require an authoritative, weighty bass in my earphones), right on par with the TG334 but with a less mid-bassy quality.
> Treble is very detailed and extended, without having painful bite. Definitely more extension and shimmer than Fitear.
> Midrange seems somewhat drier, and ever so slightly more recessed than on the TG334, but seemingly equally resolving.
> Soundstage is impressive, perhaps a touch wider than the TG334.
> This is easily the most comfortable earphone I have ever worn (as so many users are noting too).

Overall, I'm really taken by surprise how much I like this earphone. I hoped it would be a decent alternative (or different flavor) for a little bit of non-334 listening time, but the sound is just so damn good that I'm going to this earphone a lot more than the TG334. The clarity and resolution are pretty remarkable.

Well.. I thought about making a more in depth review of the FA-4E. Along with ssourcs, tips and also 1-2 cables. Bought a 93spec from a head-fier today. I thought I used my paypal funds but no. Depleted my bank account instead. But i'll buy a Fiio cable as well. Just because it costs like 3 pizzas. And I can live without that.

Yes do it.....

93spec cost 230$? You are going to hear angels

No you won't, these expensive cables are way over rated. You might hear a tad difference that's all.

Thank you for this concise review. Astonishing that the Fischers hits hard in the Fitear TG334 arena, an IEM that costs $1400.

Wow again, remember back in the day when only Cecala cared about the fa 4e people asked me if i was sure the fa 4e were superior to the sony ex 1000 and likes

Thanks! I haven't heard much at all in that 1,000+ top tier of universal aside from my own TG334 (I may get a chance to hear the K3003 soon, and I would love to hear the S-EM6)... but it definitely hangs in there side by side with the Fitear. On price, it's over $500 retail, and the TG334 is $1350, so it's more like an $800+ difference... but still

Edit- ah, I thought I saw 1400 difference...

What is also incredible is how close the 3 drivers 2-way crossover fa 3xb (which cost 320 euros-250 non rc version) sound to the fa 4e.

cn11 other users around here prefer the fa 4e to the tg 344
