Fischer Amps: FA-4 E XB - Rhapsody series (3/4/5 drivers upcoming) - Page 101

Ok I have to give the FA4s one big thumbs up: they are the best headphones for Infected Mushroom I have heard yet.

I'm beginning to think they are just more revealing than my other phones, because IM and some classical music comes through nice and smooth and well-articulated, but popular EDM can be harsh and shrill.

Guess I have to listen to nothing good music from now on... such shame...

Have been using the Monster Tri flanges for the last day or so and so far these are brilliant. Extended soundstage and everything else merely falls into place. The claity is now on another plain, the midrange is perfectly alligned with the rest of the spectrum. I think it loses just a tiny bit of bass although need to listen more. The fact that these tips insert more into the ear canal might make all the difference.

Good recommendation Kurdt-bada.

Glad you are liking them Cecala! These tips really improve the soundstage without sounding harsh or dark

The FA-4E are revealing but I think decent music sounds good enough with them. I listen to spotify extreme 320 kbit ogg vorbis or flac. I don't have the problem you're talking about with mine. But if you like sharper treble and more upper mids. You should try sony mh1c hybrids. They seal well and should give off a sharper sound than stock tips which don't do the FA-4E justice at all. So keep experimenting..also do some A/B testing. Because the FA-4E are close to perfection within that price range in my opinion but the few flaws they have become very apparent for some reason even if they're better than UE900 in every way to my ears. So give them a listen. At first when A/B with other iems they can sound distant and hollow but but once you get used to it after maybe 20 seconds you understand that they're extremely good.

Yeah they are definitely a step up from most universals I have heard in terms of spacial realism, they play more in the range of the ASG-1, although they're not nearly as flawed from an FR standpoint. As my ears become more used to the sound, they definitely sound pretty impressive.

I picked up the monster tri-flanges also - using the larger pair. These are perfect for me. I'm now getting the deep seal I wanted but without the 'suction' effect which was affecting the sound for me.

I also picked up the HRT Microstreamer as I was looking for something portable I could use in the office. I have to say, this thing is amazing! It really improves the laptop headphone out, I was quite surprised as I hadn't expected such a jump in clarity, width and depth. I think the fact that it nearly completely blackens the space between instruments where I was hearing a hiss on my work laptop has contributed massively to this as the ambience in tracks is now more apparent.

This tune!!

Got my today. And have an monday model :-(

Buyed B-Stock (little traces of use -50€), but there are FUXxxXX-Stock.

1) They looked like opend and repaired from a 5 year old child with supderglue.

2) The holes from right one are not 100% correct in order with the ähm "dingenskichen" inside (See Pic)

so the right one is 30% quiet as the left one.

I imagine that they would, no guarantee's though.

Ehh I wouldn't be too sure, the FA4 was about one full-step up from the TF10, and the W40 is supposedly better than the W4, which many said was already better than the TF10.
