Any song suggestions to make these babies shine?

First for me are tips. Meelec balanced for me. Most others don't like them as much (need about a weeks use before they seal well due to saturation of the material).

For a more V-shaped signature with strong bass and sharper highs, I'd say Sony new hybrids. Then of course it's a question of what you're used to in sound quality. Now I'm only listening from my Galaxy 4. A weak source but it's ok and I always have it with me and my music is there. (And my DAC/Amp is broken...)

So first of all, try different tips because with T500 they sound muffled and boring. Ts500 are better. There are LOTS of posts about tips here. Lots.

Wow.... Just got my klipsch tips and they are an extremely tight fit on the iem's themselves but fit my ears perfectly.

HOWEVER, i just rooted out my old iPod classic and installed rock box on it so i can play flac files on it and now i can see what i have been missing out on.... these oems are simply outstanding!!!!!

The bass is so much better and the sound is just beautiful, so happy i held in there.. :P

Kurdt, do the FAs and the iBasso DX50 go well together then?  I've read some mixed reviews of the DX50.

Yes I like the combo but sounds better with the ibasso d4 attached no doubt

An ipod classic straight out the phones jack sounds weak, you need a better player or a decent line out cable and an amp to make the ipod shine. You should listen to the other alternatives around 300 pounds these are way better than most

I plugged it into my sony amp that i use for my speaker system and they still don't blow me away. The word 'inconsistent' comes to mind. They sound great on some songs and extremely average on others, i don't really know how to describe it any other way. its almost like they're song/genre specific??

Nope these are good allrounders you won't hear any good if the recording is bad this is applicable to almost any phone

But I understand you when I received my first pair of iems the shure 530 i've felt the same and I can tell you that these are much better than the shures but at that time I paid for the shures almost the same as the fischer amps today

In btw what kind of music do you listen to?

Do you think burn in is necessary?

Before I listened to mostly bass heavy electronic and dance music and most of that is either 320kbps mp3 or 270kbps aac. However I now listen to quite a lot of classical and have been enjoying some Bob Marley at the moment too. I have the Marley Legend album in flac and it sounds fantastic.

I have a David guetta album in flac too hut the songs on that sound horrendous (gets crackly when there is a lot of bass and too many things going on). Do you think it could have just been upscale to flac from mp3?

I would also be grateful if you could tell me where I could get some good flac songs from ?

Cheers

i don't think burn in is necessary at least in balanced iems

I don't use flac files I use 320 or 192 kbps normally but imo is more important the recording itself than high biltrates, I get the music from soulseek

Just a note to say that whilst you can convert flac to mp3 you can't go the other way.
