The FAs are somewhat tip dependant. If you look back through this thread there are plenty of suggestions for tips you could try based on your preferred sound. Personally I think they sound great with Monster triple flanges. I would definitely say the Comply tips don't do the FAs justice.

They will always sound "wooly" next to your SuperDarts. The recessed mids combined with the lifted treble will make the FA-4's more fleshed out midrange seem thicker always.

Nothing wrong I still have my super-darts I think you have to take into account how detailed the superdarts can be. The Fischer amps are great bigger soundstage but it's a different beast. I would highly recommend using Thomann's return policy if you feel strongly about it. And my next suggestion is save up n get some customs only pair of earphones that ever blew me away was the um miracle. No way to describe it just knew that's what I'd been missing. Actually if anyone wants my Fischer amps I'll put em up for sale. Just realising sound is subjective and damn It I deserve to listen to what I think sounds good. Sorry for the rant just spent a crap load on new purchases n feeling the hit, so I'd recommend just getting something that you've tried and has stunned you.

I see you have a pair of Dunu 2000's, how would you say they compare to the super darts and the fischer's? which is best?

Hard to say non are really on a technical level of neutral being the best then the Fischers win. It's personal preference I like the dunu dn-2000's nice and detailed treble can be a little acidic but it adds an excitement to the sound and the dynamic driver adds that deeper sub bass quality that I didn't know I missed until I heard it again. Brief comparisons of them all:

Fischers: Awesome sound stage slightly V shaped nice bass but a tiny bloated gorgeously relaxed treble with good timbre

Dunu dn-2000: Detailed highs and clear mids it's hard to say these are not mid centric but on some songs it can give off that impression beautiful sub bass that stays out of the way. Realistic soundstage but not overly impressive.

Superdarts: Sharp highs loaded with detail recessed mids, omg mid bass heaven big heavy with great slam and intimate soundstage and great realism in the right set up ;-)

I have to say I totally agree with you on the superdarts, the bass really is something else. The warm mids on the Fischer's sound more wooly to me :/ would you say it is worth keeping them after spending £300? Any other suggestions for some buds like the superdarts?

Cheers

Welcome smily_headphones1.gif I would say no just return them and get something you're going to be happy with. As for the suggestions dunno maybe one of the guys would like to pitch In? To be honest I only really hear sound changes in signature more realistically at the price range I've played around with. If your able to try out some totl customs and if not superdarts just brought out a titanium version I'm tempted to get. Only problem just seems like a marketing gimmick more than anything atm, messaged atomic floyd awaiting a response.

I've seen the titanium's around but to be honest, i think its just a marketing gimmick. The specs look similar and buying a completely new iem just because it is made out of another material seems crazy to me!

However back to the Fischer's, i am starting to warm to them, the clarity is ridiculous! i have been burning them in for a while and the bass seems to be becoming more impactful.

I am currently using an HTC One to power them, do you think it is worth paying £80 for a Fiio E17 amp?

Cheers

Indeed curiosity still lingers for me though lol. Yeah that's why I said the amps are a different kinda beast i'm thinking of selling not due to my dislike of it but rather for a change, progression and maybe just for something a little more mid centered.... Give them some time if you aren't happy use their return policy it's there so take advantage of it. It's worth mentioning your source might not be releasing the amps full potential I love my Meridian Explorer sounds awesome with my amps. If you decide to keep them whats your budget for a dac/amp ??

Well i have rooted my phone and downloaded some software which is supposed to make up for the fact that its a phone as a music player but i think if i was going to get an amp id say max around £80. The fiio e17 has good reviews and £80 is a good price?

What are yo thinking of swapping the Fischer's for?
