MoonYoel, do you know if the Aurisonics ASG1 nozzle is the same as the FA-4? I'm looking at other options for my custom tips since I don't think it's available anymore at where I was going to get it -_-

Safely assuming the ASG-2 nozzle is the same size as the G-1, the FA-4E nozzle is smaller. Same silicone tips will stretch over both, but custom tips I have no idea.

Well that's disappointing. I guess this is what I get for waiting to buy them.

But it's always an option to use tubes from comply tips. I have them installed on FA-4E and UE900. Should bring them up to about ASG-2 diameter. Or at least very close.

Cut them so they don't stick out then :P I don't really find that they change the sound. Only make it easier for me to get a good seal.

Hey guys could one of you please send me a link for the ortofon tips some of you use for the fa4's. I tried to get used to meelec tips but could not get a comfortable fit in my left ear, involved too much fiddling and hurt a bit. Which is a shame because I prefer their sound to the stock tips.

Edit: http://www.ortofon-shop.com/shop?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_lite_pdf.tpl&product_id=261&category_id=31 are these the ones?

The one thing that bug me is the 3way crossover on the FA-4 against 2way on the FA-3...

I hate crossover in the midrange... anybody knows at what freq point is the mid/high crossover...

Also at what freq is the low/mid crossover point..

it's funny how much IEM peoples rarely talk about crossover detrimental effect on sound...

For timbre and transient its mostly always better to have one full range driver without crossover at all..

I would largelly prefer 1 subwoofer and one mid/high driver in a 2 way crossover setup.. crossed fairly low btw 50-500hz

Something like a small dynamic full range that cover everything over 60hz and a big dynamic subwoofer that cover the rest would be sweet..

I had the fa 3e xb before the fa 4e and they sound very similar, the fa 4e have a bit more detail in the mids/highs a bit more sparkle and a bit wider soundstage and also a bit better separation but the fa 3e xb sounded more natural to my ears
