I did consider buying 6 but thought just 3 would do, as I am not sure of how they will fit. Do they fit fine on the Fa without out falling off easily? Or are the tubes necessary?

They fit fine without tubes. I just use the tubes to get a tighter fit in my ear canals. Otherwise I find them a bit hard to get a seal with unless they're used for a longer time. I also have very dry earwax so they don't oil up very well.
Yes, the C5 is a great improvement of the C421 that was also very versatile ! To my mind it is a great amps, much better than iBasso D-Zero, but it is sad to use it only with IEMs, I don't know if you have cans too, but if you just have IEMs I advice you to see for the RSA Protector (balanced with Kobiconn, little soldering to do) or the HeadAmp Pico Slim that is my favourite IEM amps, I love it with FA4 and EM32. But the most impressive amps are to my mind, but not so useful, the RSA Hornet and RSA SR-71B, just another world. Another price too... Go for C5 :)
My collection is of iems only xD but i will use it most of the time with the fa 4e

I got the Ortofon tips in the mail today so I'll try it with the FA-4 when I get home. It came in this little tube thing which is definitely different for earphone tips.
If these don't work I'll probably go for custom tips.

I've never heard top tier custom iems but i can say that the fa 4e with custom tips and a good source are simply mind blowing but as Ive said i came from shure 535 sm3 and ex 1000 league which i consider rather bellow in performance.

I offered mine to him but he was really busy to take it on. He knows mine is there for him whenever he gets the chance.
Woaw that was really nice of you!! Cool mate. Hope he has time to test them in the future :)
