I'm very interested to know the detail/micro detail, sound stage/3D imaging, separation, treble (smoothness), bass (tight, punchy, deep & extend) among these 3 IEMs.

Between 4ai and Fa4 the differences are little, he FA4 is more neutral, less colored and have a better imaging but it's little advantage. From what I can remind I think that the 4ai is little more coherent as the separation between instruments was less analytic. FA4 has perhaps little more details especially on transition, that's it's forced, almost as good as my EM32 !

I sell mine but I ask you guys, is someone tempting by a reshell ? I'm very curious about that, The Custom Art do it for nothing and such a 4 BA CIEM would be very very competitive !

i was celebrating it i even dont remember the original post even dont remember exactly what i did the whole night lets forget it remember this is spain! We get drunk normally to forget government issues

i didnt say anything especial though but next time Moon quote! xD

In btw i think some fa4e silicon customs would be awesome! But losing thomanns warranty and the posibility if the fit wont provide you the best sound are up there imo the fa 4e with custom acs tips specially made only for the fa 4e are a better option

I own the sm3v2 and the fa 4e sounds quite different much clearer and detailed with punchier bass and more sparkle, soundstage is bigger with better separation less enveloping but technically a touch above, i rather prefer the fa 4e but can't say about the sm64 sly in the sky user seems have owned them before the fa 4e maybe we could ask him for a little comparation

It would certainly be interesting but price wise to me it wouldn't be worth it. It would cost almost $800 total with the iem, impressions and remold and at that price it isn' too far off from a totl ciem. Of course if someone liked these that much to do that then by all means.

I owned them and wrote a review on our french blog.

SM64 have may be more weigth on note, but it's clearly less precise, less large and deep, but in terms of transparency it's something like the same. To my mind FA4 is better in terms of technicality, but in terms of coherency, I don't know. Personally I prefer the coherence of EarSonics IEMs.

rawrster I was saying that because FA4 are absolutely not far from totl CIEM ;)

Edit : and you know what, FA4 are back in my collection at the end of the week ;-/

Thanks for sharing abount the different between 4ai vs FA4.

Let say if we don't compare the price different,  how is the sound quality comparison between FA-4E XB vs Fischer Audio's DBA 02-MKII?

I'm interested to know about the detail/micro detail, sound stage, separation between these two IEMs.

From what I remember, the main difference between the two is in the sound sighature...4ai are in the balanced/bright side....with a "lack" of bass quantity especially in the "sub" region. The FA-4 is in the balanced side with no lack at all (almost to my ears).

In my memory, there's also more wide and deep soundstage and spatial coherency in the FA-4 but these differences are more subtile than the sound signature's one.

There's one thing that FA-4 do really better is the medium/treble transition that can be piercing/aggressive in the 4Ai, never in the FA-4.

And to my ears, the treble are also better in the FA-4.

But take this wit a grain of salt, only saing this by memory.

:veryevil: still thinking of reshell them in custom art?

Hum I don't know :D may be yes, may be no, it depends from what Piotr thinks about that and how the Harmony and Music Two sound. The universal solution has their advantages and I'm very curious about the sound with Star eartips and those triflanges that Sly_in_Sky adviced me to buy :)
