Fischer Amps FA-4 E XB: New 4-BA IEM From Germany - Page 42

+1....

I had almost the same feeling about them the first hours I listened to them... perhaps it's because of the burn in (psycological or not) but they grown on me after 2 or 3 days..

Now I really think that for this price, it will be difficult to have better but it's my point of view....

...perhaps at the end you will not like them but one thing I'm sure, is that ROLLK2 has a lot of skills...

I've tried T500 and no I can't biggrin.gif it takes too much time to put my IEM in my ears ^_^

EarSonics biflange are good, not very comfortable, but it's cool enough smily_headphones1.gif

I tried with mono flange but the seal is too deep with my ears, I will try with Star tips from Westone even they're too tiny for the nose.

I like the sound signature, no problem, I just search comfort.

Sorry if I seem to be condescending, it was absolutely not wanted ! :s I'm French and it's sometimes difficult to say what I want frown.gif

To my mind they match with Fit Ear F111 in terms of sense of space and "neutrality". But those are not comparable with ToGo!334 or S-EM6, the image is not as worked and detailed than on these.

I tried all the eartips given with, no one works with my jumbo ears. So I use the EarSonics eartips, bigflange, and it's perfect though the lack of comfort of these.

Since incomparable to S-EM6 due to different league, how about FA-4 E against its little brother SM64 v2? From what I understand SM64 is improved over SM3

i own the sm3v2 and sound imo terrible compared to the fa 4e considering they cost almost the same

Why different league? More drivers not always better they ve been compared to the tg334 and people in this thread prefer the fa over the tg

Oh you find the bore of ES tips small ? It's exactly the same size as the nose of FA4, but I will try another, I begin to be more reviewer of eartips than IEMs biggrin.gif

Triflange are too long for my ears. Except Er4p Triflange

V-Moda eartips are comfortable but I don't find the seal with them.

Undoubtly FA4 are better technically and acoustically than SM3 and SM64, sorry ES

You can cut the base of the tip and make them shorter...

ES tips base is thiner and also the hole at the edge. I don't know if it could affect the sound...

Not really different class, just purely based on price bracket difference as argued before and Earsonics having a more similarly-priced SM64 to compare more directly with FA-4 E. Of course all the more better for us if it can compete directly with the much pricier S-EM6 but for argument sake comparing with SM64 would suffice ;)

Cheers! That makes narrowing down selection much easier :D

Even if they're better technically the sound signature is just as important for every individual. But they are damn good and I love them. Maybe I'll have some more time tonight to do a little write-up. I think I have said something about it wink.gif

At this moment I also have the EM 32.

To my ears, they clearly are one of the best universal Iem I listened to...

The most incredible part of this Iem is the bass/sub bass quality, textures.

Medium and low medium have a lot of punch, textures and dynamism.

Mediums ant treble transition is really soft and fluid, never sibilant.

Treble are really soft, thin, precise, extended.

All is very detailled but never to much… stil very musical.

Soundstage is really coherent, airy, 3D, really deep and large…instrument separation is something also incredible.

Another person who dislikes them.

Still though very few people have noticed or are willing to try these. No matter, better for us to talk or own a rare IEM.

I'll gladly try them if someone wants to send me theirs :P

On another note is thomann the only place to get them? Also does anyone know the price of these without the VAT? I think I read somewhere the price goes down for someone like me since I don't like in a country that pays that.
