To use an image I would say that auvios sounded like a thin, thin glass between me and the music. Comply tips put me and the music in a large, sound isolated room.

Glad that you tried out the foamies for everyone here. I don't like and wouldn't use them anyway so you wouldn't get that compro from me lol.

I still dream about UERM bass on the RAM album. The imaging of the low end was a revelation. The closest low end imaging to it that I've heard was the F111 but it wasn't nearly as characteristically satisfying for me.

Haha, I like this. Pity indeed.

Just received them, pretty astonished but not so enthousiast as some here

To my mind they match with Fit Ear F111 in terms of sense of space and "neutrality". But those are not comparable with ToGo!334 or S-EM6, the image is not as worked and detailed than on these.

I tried all the eartips given with, no one works with my jumbo ears. So I use the EarSonics eartips, bigflange, and it's perfect though the lack of comfort of these.

FA-4E Xb 385€

Fitear 334 $1350 (1000€)

S-EM6 945€

Fitear F111 42800 JPY (320€) or up to $595 (440€)

So I guess if your complain about these are the imaging not being as good as iems 2,5x it's price, I'd say it's still damn good ;) They are not the best iems on the planet. But they do a lot of things right and few wrong,

Just wait till they grow on you, there's also a bit burn-in on the highs and mids the first 3 hours as jochen fischer told me... other users as music_4321 or darkbeat prefer them over the tg 334, ie 800 or other 1000+ iems you should see other things apart the image how about extension and detail at both ends? as ive heard the sme6 have rolled off highs... eke also compared them with the fit ear 111 which seems are not nearly as good as the fa 4e on the other hand i didn't like the sound of earsonics biflanges in the fa 4e at all

You should spend more time with them to achieve final conclusions

I think you should apply some perspective relevance in play before posting your comments.

I really don't see the problem here...
He has a bunch of IEMs and says he likes some better. You see people saying they like some $30 IEMs more than those costing 5x as much, sometimes more, all the time on the forums, and vice versa. And in this case he feels he likes the sound of the other, maybe coincidentally more expensive ones, more. I think it would be better to ask him if he can elaborate rather than saying he should stop.

Better to post comparisons than not IMO.

He says he just receive them he should spend more time with them and try more tips, sources and get his brain used to their sound.

It's too early

That's true. It's not like it was a whole review though. It was two lines of comment. A first impression if you will. I'm sure if he changes his mind that he'll be back to post about it.

according to this when i first received the fa 3exb which sound relatively close to the fa 4e didn't like them the first hours, and I'm the fa 4e guru now ;)

Keep the impressions rolling in is what I say. I just felt a bit uneasy by that comment. Don't really know why but it was something about the tone. Of course all iems can be judged based on performance where price is not a factor. But considering that there are a lot of iems, many about the same price as FA-4E, there is some logic in comparing it mainly to those. And comparing it to certain ones costing 2-2,5x as much is good because you can get some impression of whether the money will buy you a better performance and in what areas that increment will be. Maybe I just felt some kind of condescending tone in the first sentence. But I will certainly enjoy a review of your thoughts Rollk2, in which you describe what you think of it and also compare it to others. Maybe I'm just rambling as always, I've been quite confused lately.

Oh and by the way. I don't think the sound of the FA-4E changed by that much, rather that I got used to the sound signature and changed my preference a bit along the way which also carried over to my other iems.

I also received mine...listening to them since almost one week long...

At this moment I also have the EM 32.

To my ears, they clearly are one of the best universal Iem I listened to...

The most incredible part of this Iem is the bass/sub bass quality, textures.

Medium and low medium have a lot of punch, textures and dynamism.

Mediums ant treble transition is really soft and fluid, never sibilant.

Treble are really soft, thin, precise, extended.

All is very detailled but never to much… stil very musical.

Soundstage is really coherent, airy, 3D, really deep and large…instrument separation is something also incredible.

Thx vwinter, it's exactly what I mean. It's first impressions and as I own(ed) and try so many IEMs I think I'm able to "judge" quickly but warning I don't say it's final thought !

I just sell my S-EM6 and then I buy FA4, it's a proof I believe in these IEMs. I don't say they're are not good I just say they are not as technic as some higher end IEMs. But that's my taste, I think I will stay some times with these, because they good AND enough technic for my use. And yes, be confident, those are very good IEMs, much better than many head fi enthusiast purposes ! For example 4ai which is hype to my mind.

I need more time with these but not for burn in, please, my FA4 are demos ! They are already burned in if it exists ! I absolutely don't believe in burn in except brain burn in and cerumen burn in tongue.gif

Sly and me are friends, he advice me to buy them and this morning when he asks me my thoughts I just tell him I need more time to say final thoughts, but I'm happy with these ;-/
