So how is the sound with these? I'd say like an improved version of the sensorcom bi flanges: no veil, excellent detail and transparency, more punch than the sensorcom more or less like ordinary silicone tips, brighter treble and zero sibilance. Really awesome, if you want to hear the best of your fa 4e try these if you are looking for any isolation check everywhere else. Stage is good also.

I bought them here: http://es.juno.co.uk/products/proguard-earportz-eartips-for-earphones/433379-01/  they came with all the sizes available, I'm using the L ones the XL fit me better but bass was really decreased, didn't try smaller sizes because they won't fit me at all.

Just my luck, out of stock.

Will look elsewhere.

Edit: Found two additional UK outlets, both want just over 21 Pounds for item plus delivery which translates to a little over $37 in my money. Sorry it's not happening. Complete rip off for a very small package.

I have already looked on ebay, the ones I've seen do not deliver to Australia.

That's one of the above UK outlets I've mentioned which would cost me $37.00.

**** too pricey! try to talk with the ebay sellers while they seem not to sell to your country maybe if you ask them they will accept, if not I can send you the XL but as I've said bass is not very punchy in this size...In last case buy the pack send to my direction and I'll send it to you

I have already sent an email to one of them asking for an explanation, no reply as yet-too early. I'm using some logic here as you usually use medium in tips and now need the large in the Earportz. Since I usually need large therefore Xl should do it for me. How much postage did you pay between the UK and Spain?

After much debate, I decided to sell my Fischers and stick with the SE846.  I had a for trade listing up but it was just to get feelers as I wanted more time to compare the two.  Although the SE846 is 3 times the price, the Fischer does hold its own.  If anyone is interested in a set of FA4E, pm me.

The 846 fit me better.  I have said before, personally the Fischer sounded best with deeper insertion but I tried tip after tip and couldnt find one that would do that well.  Tri, Bi, Foam, silicon... maybe my ears are a bit hard to deal with.  I also felt the 846 was a little more dynamic sounding. Whether that is coloration and the Fischer is actually true to the recording or not, I do not know.  The Fischers are a hell of an IEM though.  I would prefer those over almost anything under $600 or so.

Thanks for the recommendation. Unfortunately, my friend is based in the UK and amazon do not stock that IEM. He has some vouchers he wants to use up.

Maybe see how much the TF10 are.

The T-Peos H200 might be worth a look. More conventional form factor too.

Also the Shure SE215 has been a hit with all of my non-audio-nerd friends; he would probably enjoy it if he's not a picky, obsessive SOB like most of us here :-P
