$499 for the cable box!?!

The only game that interest me is Ryse and Titanfall.

Some thoughts on MS conference:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

MGS5 trailer was cool.

Ryse sucked. Looked nice, though.

New game from Insomniac exclusive to Xbox one is interesting.

Dead Rising 3 looks pretty cool.

The Witcher 3 looks cool, despite the first two games sucking.

Technical difficulties made for some great jeering. Heard someone shout "Xbox sucks!"

Battlefield 4 looks like every shooter ever (surprise).

Halo trailer was really neat.

$499 price point is, obviously, higher than I expected.

Developers beating the "Cloud compute" drum was pathetic, at best.

I do have to give props to MS for sticking to their claim that it would be all about games, even if most of the games were uninteresting.

Also: regarding the insider info I posted earlier:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A good portion of it was accurate, though I wonder if wires got crossed, especially with regard to Prince of Persia and Mirror's Edge 2. It'd be interesting if they showed up at Sony's conference, but it's more likely they'll show up at their respective publisher conferences, since theirs are before Sony's.

You forgot the new smaller XBOX 360 model available today and free games for XBOX gold members.

Along with the announcement, Xbox Live Gold is being upgraded to a PlayStation Plus-style model, with two free games per month through the release of the One. First up: Halo 3 andAssassin's Creed 2. New and current XBL Gold members will get the games for free, to keep, starting July 1.

EA conference was pretty good.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Dragon Age 3 could have shown more.
Star Wars Battlefront is a very nice surprise.
Mirror's Edge 2 is looking great.

Meh nothing new to the stables that I'm interested in. It's fun seeing MS try so hard to yearn more sales and attention.

Well, Dark Souls 2, MGS 5, Mirror's Edge 2 - so far, so good. Oh, and as an NBA fan I find it quite amusing that EA are actually thinking of releasing a new NBA game and wasting their money fooling themselves. Also I might kid myself that I won't go for it but I'm a Battlefield fan and destroying skyscrapers does have its charm LOL. And of course as a ps fanboy I can't wait for ps4

If I had to buy a console, I'd get the Xbox One for the sheer amount of servers and additional functionality.  I also prefer the controller :D

Ugh. Not going to be able to watch the Sony conference live, and going to have to wait until late tomorrow to watch it. Guess I'm going on blackout until then.

Depends, I'd rather play on console than play a ****ty PC port XD

95% of my gaming is on PC, I occasionally will play on one of my "vintage" consoles.  Last night was dedicated to fixing my virtual boy's left eye.

Guys, you can use a USB controller with your PC.

I hope the Xbox one controller (USB) works

Nice. Sony killed it. 399 bucks for the ps4 and no restrictions for trading or loaning used games or need for constant internet connection. Some people might not be the happiest that you need a ps+ membership to play online but I don't mind.
