picture of the actual 4pin male connector on my mdp's cable:

no one? anyone with a bare connector to check inside what the numbers are? or with a multimeter and a md/mdp trs/xlr caber to check this?

i mean does this type of connector have a name? what's that schiit?

This is back from page 12:

Yes, it is not one of the easier connectors to solder, very small.  If anyone doing DIY cables wants the pinouts, it's standard:

1 = L+

2 = L-

3 = R+

4 = R-

Also, it's not actually a HiRose, it's from http://www.evalucon.com.  I picked them because they are very well made, affordable, and they offered a 4-pin option that is easier to solder than the HiRose, which starts with 6 pin.  The locking plug is part number SN-8-4(P).  Having a quality third hand with a good lens is very important, otherwise I wouldn't even attempt to solder these...

Inside the connector it will have the pins labeled 1-4.

Oh damn, sorry about that.

I couldn't find anything with pictures showing the pins and the numbers so I can't help you here. I'm sure someone who has already build a custom cable will be able to help you out. I'll do some more searching and report back if I find anything.

EDIT: seems i found something out it's a 4-pin Hirose connector

  XLR Male 4 pin e-valuconn Male 4 Pin
L+ 1 1
L- 2 2
R+ 3 3
R- 4 4

The connector is available here.

I had a spare Hirose connector in my drawer, the numbers are visible inside the connector, so here it goes:

YELLOW - 1

GREEN - 2

BLUE - 3

RED - 4

So, basically, the connector orientation in your photo was the correct one (same as the one in manufacturer PDF).

Hope this earns me a discount on that sweet maxxed WA6-SE you got there :D

hehe, your alpha dog really shone from it, time to fix my mdp's cable and give them a ride too, will discuss the discount when we meet for an A/B session !!!
