I have the standard MDs and very thankful that MrSpeakers has the option to upgrade to the Alphas -- must be a lot of owners wanting to upgrade as the wait list is 2 months.. I'm on the list with 1 month to go I think.

Now that we're caught up we will re-open the upgrade queue this week.

Whats the current wait time for a Mad Dog Universal to Mad Dog Pro upgrade?

No wait.  Give us a week to turn it around.

Interesting, thanks for the response. Been pondering it and I think I might go for the gold and upgrade to the Alpha.

When you say the queue is going to be opened up again this week does that mean we'll be able to buy the upgrade on the website as opposed to just signing up for the e-mail notification, which is how it currently is right now?

No, that we'll resume mailing to people on the queue.  I have to make a few changes to the website first to ensure the page works properly, as soon as that's done we'll send out the notices.

Also, we are going to make a small change in upgrade policy and pricing.  ALL upgrades will now include new pads, Alpha or Dog Pad or even 840 vintage.  We found too many of the Mad Dog pads just didn't fit as well as they should, having been stretched onto the Mad Dog.  So older pads should be removed from the phones before you ship them; you'll have a spare set or can use them for other cans and for $20 you get fresh ear pads.

Hey guys,

I'm going to order my Mad Dog tomorrow from a dutch site called Hifistudio79, anyone here knows anything about them? They aren't on the 'where to buy' at MrSpeakers site.. Here's a link if anyone wants to take a look.

It seems that Soundconsult (the one on MrSpeakers site) doesn't carry them anymore, so Hifistudio79 took over?

I've wanted to buy them from Soundconsult, but getting the money ready was a problem for me so the owner of Soundconsult sold his last pair a while ago, and told me he wouldn't stock them anymore. So I went on a search to buy them somewhere else, and I found the Hifistudio79 site. After mailing the owner of Soundconsult about it, he told me he had no experience with them but told me something about studio107.

Would you deem this site trustable?

I don't know, never heard of them before. The only concern I can think of is the version which should of course be 3.2.

Maybe you can ask Dan.

I'll take that as a confirmation that the hifistudio79 site is legit.

Thank you Dan :)

The mad dogs on that site have the alpha pads and the comfort strap, so I assume it's the 3.2.

Ordered them, my impression will come as soon as I have them!

I got the Mad Dogs smily_headphones1.gif
On the bus with them at the moment, but I can everyone talk through my music while it's pretty loud.
Must have my earpads turned wrong

Could anyone provide me with a few pictures of their pair, so I can look how I need to turn mine?
I've got the 3.2 with alpha pads
Thanks in advance!
