Yes, that's exactly the case, depending on the size of the earcup.

Hi whiskyjack, it is on my beyer770 now...
That hole....Measuring 6cm height n 3.5cm width:-)

The effect of the pads on the Beyer...
Hmmmm....sounded as if the walls came down,
The sound panning from slightly behind my leftear...to the rightear.
At times I tot my cups r out of phase..on some songs, lolz.

FUN! :-)

Oh then chances are it would work out on the sound Magic Hp100 seeing as the velour pads of the DT 770 and the 990 fit the HP, and that is kind of exciting, and I was just worried about comfort with the pads around the ear. I am thinking about giving them a try none the less after I get myself a dac/amp for my desktop. I am currently using a sound card the put in recently but it has been acting inconsistent lately with not working when the pc is booted up and having to restart to make it work....I figure getting myself a dac/amp (will have to either find a good deal or go budget) so I am not entirely sure what yet. WIll check some threads. Thanks about that though concerning the pads.

Great!  I just need to make an extension cable so I wanted to use the same cable as the Alpha Dog wire that comes with it.  Do you feel as though there is anything really to be gained in changing the wire?

The Canare is a very nice cable.  I don't think mixing and matching cables will be a good idea...

Would you recommend something else for the whole setup?  If so, what?

I avoid cable deep-dives like I avoid a bus full of lepers.

Me too!  That's why I was going to stick with what you used (Canare Quad) but the way your last post was I thought you were saying if one was to replace the whole loom, then it would be worth using something else.  That's all.

Ah...  I'd suggest either making a Canare extension or a single cable using whatever cable you want.

Hi all,

Sorry for posting what I'm sure is the same question you've seen 100 times, but unfortunately I can't find this info.  I'm looking for any impressions that have been posted by people who have tried both the MD and the MD Pro.  Since there doesn't seem to be a separate MD Pro thread, I assume all that info is buried in here somewhere and there's just too much to sort through.

Any help here would be great.  Based on the Mr Speakers site, the MD Pro has slightly more bass and less warmth overall.  Have others found this to be true?  I really enjoy the MD's but I was hoping for a bit more bass and I am finding them to be a little on the dark/warm side overall for my tastes.

Like someone said a few pages back, the bass isn't bad, it's just a lot more balanced than I'm used to and brain burn-in helped a bit.  But if I could get more bass, while brightening the tone up a bit, I think that would be right up my alley...

For what it's worth, I reviewed the MDP recently. http://www.head-fi.org/t/716788/mad-dog-pro-a-review

Have not heard the MD, but perhaps you can compare! :L3000:
