Try the used forums...or,

e-bay?

Like I said before----good luck

$70+ isn't reasonably priced... I want a coiled cable for those times i do need to maneuver around my desk a bit and need the length but so I don't trip/roll over it/get it wrapped around chair when I am sitting right in front of PC.

$70 is pretty darn reasonable...

I think I've seen someone use a Beats coiled cable with the MD's. I think HiFiGuy has the cable, worth checking out. I'm not how much one of those cost though...

I've tried headphone extension cables that are less then $50, but were apparently good quality with good reviews, and they still deteriorate the sound quality.

So, a custom made cable by a guy who does headphone cables is the ideal option.  $75 is only 25% of the cost of the headphones (let alone the rest of the gear).

Thats what I did with BTG ,Brian matched my original cable to the extension cable

If memory serves me,the extension was something like $25.00

When I get my AD's..I will have to send them down to BTG again for him, to re-wire them again.

I will have a pair hi-rose adapters for the AD so that I can continue to use my mini xlr cable with all my hp's.

V-Moda makes a coiled cable that will fit the MD's also

Wouldn't that stick out in a really odd way?

What is he going to do - hardwire them?  Or something else?

But I specifically need a coiled cable which they don't offer.

That could work with adding a right angle connector to the end so it doesn't stick out. Kind of retarded, but is best option so far...

You should be able to just send him the cables to re-terminate.  The ADs are wired for balanced and single ended and the connector is really nice.  The pinouts are published on the website.

Other options:

http://shopworld.ultrasone.com/us/product.php?id_product=42

Or the Shure SRH cables but NONE of those have an L connection so you will always have to mod them...

http://www.amazon.com/Shure-HPACA1-Replacement-Headphone-Headphones/dp/B002Z9JWYO

or contact --> http://www.head-fi.org/t/658967/shure-srh-440-and-840-coiled-cable

Note that some of these have "locking mechanisms" for their respective headphones...

There really aren't a lot of options to fit the right angle entre on the headphone.

Almost all of them have to be filed, ground, or sanded to fit.

The Vmoda fits nicely but isn't coiled.
The one posted above might not fit.

You'll likely have to go the custom route to get exactly what you want. Maybe you can find a DIY member to make it for you cheaper but all the usual cable makers will do a great job otherwise.

I saw those. Most are too short or need right angle adapter to not look weird. I was specifically asking for: one that already had angle connector and aren't completely **** without costing 1/3 the cost of the headphones.
