I might. They are however hardwired and balanced.

So after few days and read a lot of comments and comparisons, I realize that if one prefers the dark to neutral sound sign then Mad Dog is the good choice, otherwise if one prefer the reference neutral quality sound or stay true on recordings then Alpha Dog is the choice.

To sum up, more musical more fun more bass then Mad Dog like Audezee LCD-2. More reference more treble with corrections then Alpha Dog. I think I lean to Mad Dog than Alpha Dog. When we want reference sound then we need to have reference gears and that is out of my budget.

Nice and wait for more specific reviews of Alpha Dog.

Except that Dan then added a Bass Port to the Alpha Dogs with a Screw Adjustment, so you can add or reduce bass response.  This was done after the Beta Testers heard the headphones, so no one outside of MrSpeakers office has demoed the adjustment, so it is possible that one could actually make the Alpha Dog have a bassier, warmer sound.   Jude reported in his video review that he finds the factory position of the Screw Adjustment to be just right, so he did not try adjusting it.

Also, some of the Alpha Dog reviews indicate that  beyond the Warm-and-Fun vs Neutral-Reference characterizations, the Alpha Dog is technically superior to the Mad Dog in sound quality (as well as sounding more "open" despite being closed).

Just asking..

Is it safe to say the Mad Dogs will officially end at version 3.2?

It is safe to say this is a stable release that won't change any time soon.  We love the voicing.

You'll want to get the balanced version. It comes with re-terminated sockets that can either accommodate single end or balanced cables from Mrspeakers's store.

They have a "Universal Mad Dog" that is designed to use both single ended and xlr cables.

You can add it to your cart and then add a single-ended cable and then the xlr cable.

NOTE that MrSpeakers has cables pre-made for specific balanced amps, and so if you have one of the amps listed there, you might have that cable instead of the generic XLR cable.

If you can spare the extra $100, the balanced/universal cable is a really nice option. If $100 hurts, you get all the sound with the base model.
