Hello fellow head-fi members,

In your opinion what is the best open over ear headphones within the price range $100-$200 for both sound quality and looks?

Any thoughts on the Sennheiser HD 518?

Audio Technica AD900s are also highly regarded around here, they have dropped down to 129.99 in the past on rakuten.

Yeah they seem really nice, but too pricy for my budget D: I wonder if there are even cheap, but quality made headphones out there for me ;(

Is it just me or is the clamp sort of weird? Does it feel weird or look weird when worn?

Hmm I read a few of the comments below the post and it sounds like a hit and miss with these. I feel like personally the headband is a bit quirky, but it does sound like the quality is up there. Thanks for the suggestion! I'll be sure to keep this one in mind, but I think I'd prefer headphones with a bigger headband.

Ma900, dt880/990, q701, ad900x are really the best your going to get. Most people that I have seen that have the ma900 like them, so they're not really a hit or miss. They aren't colored like Grados or the mdr 1r. Very inviting sound signature.
