Who is lives in Hawaii? - Page 5

Nice, UH Manoa?  I'm hoping to to be a student with an inappropriately expensive head-fi collection soon as well.  I use a hand-me-down DAC and receiver setup with my MDs right now.  Still, I'm looking at open cans.  The MDs are quite satisfactorysmily_headphones1.gif for me in every category but they come with the caveat of being the best passively isolating headphones around, which can leave my eardrums feeling a bit warm and worn after long sessions(2+ hours).

Someone had a Woo WA6 on craigslist a week ago.  Woos are too rich for my blood at the moment but I was surprised to see one for sale, especially locally.  Almost bought a pair of those HD650s from him though.

With all the overcrowding on the island there isn't enough head-fi trade going around, IMO.

I'm going to HPU. I started there taking online classes at the beginning of last year while I was a government slave. With the MSIS concurrent program, I'll be able to take some grad school classes as an undergrad. Depending on how this year goes will determine whether or not I want to do the full master's degree or move somewhere else for grad school.

It would be nice if there were official meets for head-fi stuff here. I'd like to try out other rigs. Most of the people I know in person don't really dabble in this stuff.
