Fischer Audio DBA-02 First Gen (Trade) Looking for IEM
Will Ship To: USA
Hey, I have a pair of DBA-02 first gen that has been re-terminated to a heavy duty Neutrik L plug (link below). The original plug, as many of you know, can be flimsy and it stopped working in one ear for me. I've had the Neutrik for about a year and half now and absolutely no issue...until I got my Nexus 4 bumper and find out that it doesn't fit because it's too big. So I'm looking to switch (maybe with some amount of money exchanging hand if there are value differences) to a different set of IEM with a slim enough plug (basically any IEM that hasn't been re-terminated) and similar value to work with my bumper. I don't have the original packaging anymore, so this pair of DBA-02 will come with a pair of Etymotics 3 flanges in a metal box (to protect it during shipping)
I'm open to any offers, as well as any offers with less than $50 exchanging hands either way to compensate for value difference between the phones. I'm open to different sound signatures but I will list below the phones I have heard and my preference for them as reference. But don't make that stop you from making an offer. I wouldn't mind trying the IE7 from what I've read for example. Also wouldn't mind pitching in some money to switch to the DBA-02 MKII since I do love the sound.
My feedbacks are thus far perfect I believe, and if you search my name you can find a thread with good feedbacks back in the day when Head-fi didn't have a feedback system. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
Thanks for looking!
IEMS I had and my opinion for reference
DBA-02: My favorite in term of sound/comfort, why I still have it.
Westone 3: too bass heavy
Westone 2: fine, but doesn't stand out
Westone UM3X: Liked it
Triple Fi 10: Sounds fine, comfort fine, too clunky, would not want.
Ortofon eq7: love the sound, hate the ergonomics.
Hifiman RE0: I gave up on that phone twice and I don't remember why. The sound was fine, I think the ergonomics was less than ideal for me.
Monster Turbine Gold: too heavy, doesn't stay in ear.
I'll post picture later, but rest assured, the phone works fine and if there is anything wrong with it I'm not noticing it with daily use. It sounds as good as new, probably better since I didn't care for the stock tips.
