I'd like to have a volume control at my DAC's voltage output (no I/V), before the JFET buffer. Something like in the attachment below, thus only needing a dual pot for balanced stereo volume control.
Now, I've seen a way to hook up a linear pot with a shunting resistor to fake a log pot, retaining the advantage of better tracking in the linear pot, in this link:

My problem is, I don't know how to do this in my configuration, where the pot is acting as a variable resistor.
