Minus: Need more MicroSD Card.

That would depend on what compression level the FLAC was encoded with.

Just got the Tera Player in. Really enjoying it as well. Love how natural and effortless it sounds. I understand the comments of it being easy on the ears. Most definitely true.

Well I like the sound so far. I can't say it's superior to the AK120 but they are on par with each other IMO. They take different approaches on sound. With the AK120 being a combination of hifi and euphoric. While the Tera it totally based on the euphoric approach. Very smooth and non-fatiguing sound. Still very much detailed and enjoyable. The sound stage is pretty expansive on the Tera. I still find the AK120 to have a slightly more expansive sound staging though. If the SE5 has this signature Mimouille I'll be extremely happy. That was the sound I was looking for in the 8A and didn't find it.

The se5 is in this area but more detailed and more sub bass. Together with the Tera they work wonders.

Lee did you get the Tera at the new price or is just on a loan?

It's on loan. I don't intend on buying one anytime soon. It's nice but not $2,300 nice. I'd have to have extra money to burn to even considering buying one used. If I could find one in a year or so on the market I'd consider it. But after the SE5 I really have no desire to buy anymore gear. I'm at that point where I need a break from spending.

SE5 + TP combo is my favorite combo of all time. Don't expect soundstage from SE5 though. It's there but not on Miracle's level. It's a silicon iem always more to the intimate side.

Have you tried them on the AK120? I find the AK120 to have a more expansive sound staging than the Tera. The tera is also on the intimate side.

Yes, I always have both Miracle and SE5 with me and interchange them depending on my mood. No matter which DAP you use SE5 is always more intimate than the Miracle. It's a silicon trait.

Well I don't mind some intimacy. As long as it doesn't go overboard. I heard the SE5 has a pretty expansive sound staging of its own though. The 8A was pretty expansive but not the biggest sound stage presentation I've heard. What's most important to me though in regards to the sound staging is how accurate it is. When it can portray a true out of head sound. Even if its more on the intimate side I'd still be good with that :). I shipped off my impressions earlier today to Spiral Ears. Wish me luck! cool.gif

Awesome! You'll love it. It's more accurate than anything I've heard. Bad mastering will sound like crap but the good one will shine. It has a monitoring quality, everything is spot on. To me the Miracle has a slight v shapped sound.

A Fine Frenzy Pines album (WAV) > AK120 (v1.00) > Twaq v2 > JH13 (old)

a surreal experience. L3000.gif

Seems like AK120 sounds really good

I am saving to get one :)

Just one question, given the price one would expect this thing to last many years. so how is the battery life after say, 5 years of use?
