Pretty much this. People needs to understand everyone's perception of sound and tastes are different, discussing the phones and their discripancies is fine but let's not start going full "I'm-right-and-you're-wrong" on each other, it's never pretty.

Just received my tenore from amazon jp. These are one interesting pair of iem i would say :)

I was afraid that the tenore's will be huge but these iem came in as very tiny(and light too, as im coming from cheapo hippo VB) to me. The pictures posted somehow gave me an impression that it will be huge but luckily it was not.

I dont think i would regret joining this hype as much as the he400 2 years ago :P

So concerning the hype.. I bought these Tenores at the same time as KC06, so before the last ~100 pages of hype.  I bought them because they came highly recommended by a close friend -- Grayson73.  In fact he was the one who pointed me to one of classifieds posted here.

Hype can be frustrating when you've read a ton of it, then buy them, put them in your ears and they don't live up.  But you can't blame people for hyping something they really enjoy.  What else would you expect, right?  My 3yr old won't stop talking about Thomas the Tank Engine.. I've seen a few of the shows -- didn't think they were that good.

@luisdent I've tried your deeeep insertion cable up approach.  It works and sounds good, when it works.  But I can't seem to get that pressure release pop every time, it works about 35% of the time.  Any advice?

Burnt in for a full day, Barbara Streisand sang beautifully.
Not the clearest out of my Sansa clip e18 pairing,
But definitely captivating enough for me to zone out for half an hour in a biz mall wink.gif

Ok, Ive spend a few days nonstop listening to the Tenores.

They're everything I want in an IEM, except the highs. Cymbals just don't sound that way. Too grainy and sissing.

They become downright annoying when listening for longer periods, so I'm thinking of returning them to amazon or selling them off.

Is it possible to return IEMs due to hygiene issues?

Amazon takes iem returns but marketplace sellers may be different.

Have you tried various insertion methods?  I found the grainy/sissing when you insert and have a vacuum (sucking) seal.  A neutral pressured seal seems to eliminate most of the sissing for me..
